Scx24 Hardbody project

The matching spare wheel has finally shipped. Just need to commit to a tire so I can get a matching one.

Also the mod19rc steering link came in from shapeways. Definitely worth the money and a recommended upgrade. Made the truck a lot more direct with the input since all the slop is gone.

The spare wheel has arrived. Just need to figure out the tires that are staying on this rig so I can get a spare one.

Next thing to tackle was the eye sore in the pics.....

No interior

Due to having the body sitting on the frame rails quite a bit of the interior had to go but it’s a work in progress and the only real purpose is to not look so terrible in pics.

Nice Job on making the interior fit "thumbsup"

I assume you'll be painting it?

Once I get some paint and some more small brushed it will get a decent paint job. Not gonna put a ton of effort into it as its main purpose is just to fill the body. If I didn’t have your battery tray I would have had to cut way more of the dash so big thanks for designing it.

Threw a little more styrene into the interior to hide the rest of the motor and trans. Also threw some black paint on the bottom and in the roof of the body.

Decided to paint the tailgate also so I have the option of running it or now. It functions but only half way because the bottom of the tailgate hits the bed and stops it from opening all the way.

Glad some of you have tried out the Nissan Hardbody. Been wanting the model for a while and the SCX24 had the idea in my head immediately. Any updates on the builds?

Not much for an update mainly just been driving it. I did give the interior a quick paint job just so it’s more fitting and get the matching spare. Also swapped the rear lowers out for some bent ones. The ones I had hung up a lot because of the long wb and smaller tires.

May consider getting this model and test my styrene skills. My Hardbody was a standard cab... Think I may need to recreate my history.

Looks great wtih styrene Nissan hardbody, love the beadlocks and tires too! You could make the interior 'lump' into an ice chest sitting on the passenger seat and get a driver!
