I have many 645mg's. We all know the gear that always strips. I now have a 945mg for the front. I opened it up(945) when I got it. I noticed the gear is much thicker in the 945. Might this gear also fit in the 645. This would be a great upgrade to the 645 if it does. Has anyone tried this swap?:|

sounds like a good idea! since you have both, you should do a transplant and let us know. if i had a 945, i'd try it but i don't. i'm tired of stripping gears too!!

Turtlecreawler: did you try this out. I'm just about to buy some new gearsets for the 645's so I'd like to know how it worked.

I just found out per my 645 problem thread that I may have the same problem. I'm anxiously awaiting the outcome of this experiment as well.

I've tried it, it won't work. The gears in the 945mg are taller. When you put them in the 645mg case, you can't get the case halves back together. The gears didn't seem to mesh right either.

Thanks Bender, I knew that if anyone would know it would be you. Hope to run into you at the hobby town get together in June. Thanks again...:)
