Yeah, I'll be concentrating on building a scaler for a while. I won't be at the next comp.

Thanks guys. I was a little worried for a while, wasn't sure if I could pull off a win. 8)

A big thanks to Donnie and Kinson for setting up the courses. I had really hoped the sections Kenny and I worked on would be able to be used. Maybe next time it will be a litttle less wet. Damn it was slick out there.

I also thought we might see the guys come up from New Red Hobbies since they have been talking about building something to crawl on at their shop. Guess not though.

Rich and I checked out a new spot after the comp but the gate was locked. Got a name and number though.

Afterwards we stopped by HobbytownUSA in Gainesville and talked to Eric(owner) about our group and he is interested in working with us. "thumbsup"

That makes 2 of us. Would perfer to drive to Atl. and crawl with people that enjoy having fun.

Exactly who all was there that didn't have fun?

I don't get it. You had some so-so runs and there was confusion and a little complaining about the new running order you wanted to implement and that is all it takes to ruin it for you? And now you aren't gonna show up for the next comp?

Hey Bill, It was great meeting you & Tyler. I think my oldest daughter had a lil crush on him. She was asking if we thought y'all was gonna be at the next comp & if she could build one and go with us.:ror:

it was cool meeting you guys too. your wife is a crack up. i saw what was happening there. everytime i turned around he was back there looking for something or lost something or whatever. he has a rcc account- Rocky666. hope to see you guys again.

Yes, congrats on the win Matt as well as the top 5 finishers, I know where Mini is coming from as well. On the way back home, I felt whipped, as well as thinking, it was not a fun day.

Mini, I thought the two group idea was great. The part that was a little confusing was the revised order for the third course as I thought it would be like worse to best and so a driver's meeting would have helped cleared that part up.

In one word, origanization.

There seems not be a person in charge of the events or the state series for that matter and more of a "who ever wants to build/judge takes the lead and goes with it".

I feel some view the comps like on/off road events where the local (host) track and memeber runs the event. I've come to see rock crawling comps are not like that. The monthly(RCA) and big crawling events I've been to has a director that then directs other to do certain things, like building courses or doing tech or even judging. I understand how the new guys feel lost and just want to learn and see how things are done, but those that have comp'ed for a while should step foward and help with all facets of the comp.

I come to the crawling events to relax, enjoy and chat with friends and will continue to do so and enjoy helping as I did with judging and added scores.

Well I've said enough and hope all learn from this weekend and will continue to come out and enjoy.

Hey Bill, You haven't seen anything. My wife was acting very tame this weekend. She is quite FUN individual to be around.

Well I don't have as much video as I would like, but I have a few. They will be posted by morning. Some of those courses just were not very camera friendly.

I have several hundred photos to sort through. It will be a day or so before I get pics up. There are a couple real cool action shots in the bunch too.

I could not get some of the angle I wanted to for fear of my own safety on the slick stuff. Short and fat, with a bad back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles doesn't help me much their either.

Oh too well man. Family first, take your time, and a big thinks out to Matt, Donnie, Mini, Kenny, Kinson, etc. who made this happen.

I am very sad to hear that people did not have fun and hope that it is not tied to anything I did.

Kenny and I ended up scoring on course 3 because no one was and I wanted to keep things moving. That is when people got mad and left
