Steering Improvements

Because I have more pressing things in my life to worry about something so minor and insignificant. If I were making a living running my rig at comps and every minute detail was on the line, I'd be all over it. I just wanna have fun with the f-ing thing.

Hammer, just know that the VP knuckles sometimes cause clearance/rubbing issues depending on which wheels you are running. With stock axial wheels you will have to run a wider hex to avoid rubbing the steering link against the sidewall of the tires.

And that is what separates those that build a rig correct and those who merely slap them together. ;-)

Ok I've made a final decision on parts. RC4WD CMS/Panhard, Vanquish Stage 1 Kit, Axial UD gears for the rear, BlueMonkeyRC titanium steering links (for VP 8* knuckles) and also RC4WD's CVD's (later though)

I went with the RC4WD CMS kit as well. It looked like the closest thing to a Hand Brothers kit, so I went with it. It took me a littl to get it dialed in to where I wanted it, I made my own bent panhard bar and a drag link with aluminum tubing to match the other links on my Recon G6.

So far I'm pretty happy with the kit. I modified my stock battery plate to fit up front for use with my small 3s packs as well.

i am aware of this, which is why ill take my hexs off my 2wd slash (its a graveyard for parts now lol) and/or get these Mini 12mm Wheel Widener (4)

You got it....use the 8mm wide hexes off the front of a Slash, I had to do that on the front of my Wraith when I went with VP c-hubs and knucks. If you want aluminum, pro-line makes the front ones for the Slash and Gmade sells a 8mm wide set of (4).

Some have fun being very scale. Some have fun with a simple rig and normal lexan body. Devaluing of someone else's fun doesn't make it any less fun for them.

We all have lives and this should just be a relaxing hobby "thumbsup"

Lol @riff_raff. So my last question is should I run BOTH the slash hexes, and the 12mm wideners? and are there maybe slightly shorter wideners?

did the mods. cvds, hi clear knuckles, increased travel and end points on my controller. now my tires are hitting the shocks at full turn. any advice? or do I have all the steering I can get?
