Swat team murders two dogs

i didnt read everyone's post but read alot of them. heres my thoughts....

the video really bothered me.. i dont like to see shit like that done to animals. i dont think the cops are to blame but the owner..he obviously did something to have a search warnt issued.he put his family and dogs in that situation.

on the flip side , i do wish cops dealt better with a situation like that. i agree with dez's statement "If they are going to forcibly enter a home like that, they should have some form contingency plan in place for non lethal means of dealing w/ a family pet."

Go back and read a couple of JRH's posts then.

well theres several methods of taking care of an animal in a raid like that and this was not standard practice. as far as tranq's there are easy ways of doing this as obviously everyone was sleeping they could have very easily slipped the dogs something through the bottom of the door laced with ketimine a well known powerful tranquilizer as well they had 8 or so guys there its very easy to have one ready with mace or a tranq gun theres 7 or so other well aimed shots watching your back not hard to do its called swat for a reason that was anything but tactical i have seen better tactics from kids. this was pathetic and as far as the guy being the target in my eyes is irrelevant if some pos came in my house my dogs would have a field day with them and they are around children all day and are very friendly and well mannered but if someone comes in our home threatening it the way they did my dogs would go off. that is there job to protect my family and there home. they shoot my dog you can guarantee my gun will be drawn and they will be getting shot right back. im not a drug dealer/user and before i got my dogs i was raided under false reports because someone got pissed off at me for beating up there druggie friend. that being said this was extremely poorly handled and there should be repercussions for the officer involved due to the fact that the dogs just did there jobs just as a police k-9 would have and if a cop dog gets shot its federal charges for the shooter. so how is it any different for a dog protecting its home? its doing its job as well...

I may piss some off,but I think cops get away with murder every year.
here in mckinney tx I remember a homeowner was called by his security comp.
of possible break in. homeowner got home befor cop did.

coming out the front door the homeowner was shot to death through
the screen door.
cop said she was startled, triped, fell and gun discharged.

NO CHARGES FILED
its a clear case of neglagence

also remember here in arlington tx police training exercis.
to resemble a school shooting scenario
officers are supposed to load weapon with rubber bullets.
one officer didn't,shot fellow officer in head=dead
again
NO CHARGES FILED
and agian clearly neglagent

also here in ft worth tx officer was asleep at wheel
crossed into oncoming traffic, hit car head on,woman driving was pregnat 7-8 months, baby was lost, she was charged for no ins.
but the officer was charged with..........
you guessed it

NO CHARGES FILED

when a cop screws up all thier feathers ruffle up and they get defnsive and protective the badge is a brotherhood and a shield and its B>S>

and as far as a cop intering a property KNOWING therer may be a dog.
and kills it for the officers protection?
the dog was not at fault, enter property in a different maner.
catch owner off premise, dont rush the property.

if you rush in on a property owner/dog and you get your ass hurt.
thats what you get, should have thought about that before you came into
somone elses domain UNANOUNCED.

Why the hell do you assume this, that is more than disturbing. So hypocritical.

theres a reason for everything. there are countless possible reasons this raid happened but with the limited info on that video im going with he prolly did something wrong.did he ? i dont know...was it a mix up ? possible.... am i hypocrite ? prolly, i think everyone is to an extent.

F'n crackhead dogs...

Those Corgies are some bad MF'ers! They can really do some damage to your ankles

whatever happened to surrounding a house, knocking on the door, and serving a search warrant in the daytime or not at 12:40am.

Regardless, he was wrestling a woman with a firearm in his hand.

Imagine what the story would've been if he'd had an accidental discharge and killed HER while wrestling with her.

There wouldn't have been one.

The 7 year-old being killed forces the story out about how the situation was handled and what, exactly, happened.

that's what i'm saying. why do they have to tackle and wrestle with the people in the middle of the night. i'm not a criminal by any means but i'm going to be pissed if the swat is putting their knee in the back of my neck and i'm gonna struggle. there's no need for that when the guy is face down and puts his hands behind his back when asked to. not sure in the womans case.

ive been to jail a few times for stupid traffic violations and just being in the right place at the wrong time. the cops think they need to sling me around with my arms behind my back like i just shot someone in the face.
