If you watched this crap on TV tonight now you know what scratching looks like! This crap is a slap in the face to my industry! Their students tattooed bananas on the 2nd day and people on the 3rd day!:shock::shock::shock: People are touching open fresh tattoos with their bare hands!:shock: I'm at a loss for words right now:roll: Please believe me guys when I tell you that is takes no less than a year to even start tattooing names in the real tattoo world! Most of the time 2 years! I have 23 years in this industry and I still learn something new all the time! All of these tattoo reality shows make me want to puke! This tattoo school show takes the cake though! $5000 for 2 weeks of "school":shock: All they are doing is handing people off the street a tattoo machine and telling them here is a body for you, tattoo them! It's some of the worst tattoos I've ever seen! It's unreal. Learning to tattoo in 2 weeks would be like me saying because I build and work on RC crawlers I should be able to go to mechanic school for 2 weeks and get a job at Toyota! It's absurd! It takes more than 2 weeks to learn any trade!!!! I'm pissed and disgusted at the same time............
 
I totally agree with you , i myself am an artist and I went through two years of doin bs work like scrubbing floors making jewelry tracing stenciling the bosses customers ect..... For free! Three years before I was allowed to do my first tattoo on a paying customer and I hated it it was the word hate in old school tattoo letters you know the ones the straight line ones on this guys throat . My point is . I that you should have to work extremely hard to do this show your teacher how bad u want it, now days it seems like u can go into a shop and say hey I want to tattoo and they are like ok trace for a week and we will get u goin ...... Blah it's bs and I'm sick of it as well had to rant sorry lol
 
Check out the protest on Facebook against that show! There is over 140,000 of us now! Did you read the end credits after each student? One is tattooing out of his house, the girl is tattooing soldiers out of a house and the other guy is "flooded" with offers from tattoo shops!:lmao: No real shop will ever hire anyone who has been to a "tattoo school"!!!!!

The only reason they want him is cuz he was on tv lol hahahah they must not have alot of business I they want a scratcher to come work for them just for the publicity
 
I feel that dumb C*** wants the attention. And everyone protesting it is just bringing more attention to her and her school... Someone should just burn the house down. Its funny how she said she is the most hated person in the tattoo industry. Someone needs to slap her... I turned the channel when it came on BTW.

There is no way on the coldest day in hell I would let any of those people touch me with a crayon much less a tattoo gun. I had never even heard of it until now. Seriously, I hated the "insert city name here" ink shows already, now this?!?!?!?!

I have one which took me long enough to find what I wanted. I want more but simply lack the funding to have done what I want and how I want. I have seen too many friends and family among others get crappy tattoo jobs by their friends and other useless hacks who had a tattoo machine and would do it cheap in there house. My sister-in-law has some of the worst tattoos in the world from friends who are crappy tattoo "artists" (in quote because of their artistic ability, or lack thereof, not because I think real tattooists aren't artists, because they are).

Anyone who lets one of these people anywhere near them deserves what they get.

That's what you should do Kenny. Open up your own tattoo school & charge em out the @$$.

$5000 a head for two weeks. A full class could land you quite a few crawlers!

Then when they graduate tell them they have to apprentice for a year (for free) before they get to tattoo :lmao:

Seriously!:ror: $4000 is what we would charge for a 1 year apprenticeship here at the shop. And that would be 5 days a week, 8-10 hours a day you must be here. The first few months would be learning nothing but BBP, machine building/setup/tuning, needle making, line drawing, color study and shop cleaning! You wouldn't touch living skin before the first year!!! And if you did it would be your own skin, not a customers!!!!!!!

The douche that owns that school is going to get hurt for real. I know people in our industry that would really hurt her and break every students hands that have gone there!!! I guess that's why she shut the school down while this series airs! TLC is a joke! I spent hours over the past few days calling every sponsor of the show to let them know I will never use there products until they pull their ads for the show! TLC will not take our calls any more:roll: So I posted on their FB page, not that it matters to them really.

It's our own fault for not trying to shut this down sooner though. I knew there were schools out there but I had no idea they were only 2 weeks long!:roll: I know of one school that is 1 year long! It also cost $20k for a year there!:shock::shock::shock: The funny thing is that no shop will hire anyone who went to a "Tattoo School"!:ror: This whole thing makes my head hurt......:cry:
