Tattoo School....

I understand your passion. But its a TV show. Should I be mad at the show Whale Wars. Nope I cheer for the whalers, hope one of the people falls in the water and do not lose 1 minute of sleep over this. A bunch of hacks entering my profession would just make me look better.

I do like watching LA ink. I like the Artist Cory, and the other shops owner Craig. I fast forward past the twat who owns the first shop. She is dumb. I wish someone would rip off her wigs and beat her with them.

Kenny, I am absolutly right there with you.

Many years ago I was offered to learn from one of my friends who has been an artist for 20 years.

$17,000.00 dollars and a year of being in the studio everyday and then only if I was good enough after many months of practicing on Grapefruits and learning how to assemble and disassemble a gun. Would he then decide if I can work in the shop. I just couldn't commit to it no matter how bad I wanted to learn.

So I drew tattoo Flash and sold it all over the place."thumbsup".

These assclowns on TLC need to get a clue.

Ok, but I better have a full body suit by the end of the month too."thumbsup"

This is where you are wrong! Having a bunch of scratchers putting out crap work does not help us at all! They are putting the public in danger not only with the crappy work that is chewing the skin up like a hamburger but they are violating health codes! This makes my industry look bad and puts the bad people in the spotlight. That leads to regulations that hurt my business and takes $ away from me and my family! It's this type of tattooing that shut tattooing down in New York for 20+ years!!!!!

And WTF does Whale Wars have to do with someone teaching a skill that takes years to learn? How about I charge you $5000 to teach you how to dissect a frog. On the first day we practice on a teddy bear first! Second day we work on the frog! Third day you get to do open heart surgery on a human!!!! Then when you finish my school you can open your own clinic!"thumbsup"

Americans are getting lazy and stupid! Reality TV + your lazy ass on a couch = mindless sheep! I'm sure it wont be long before your profession is made a mockery of. I just hope yours won't put the public in danger.

It's a machine not a gun. Guns shoot bullets. - Bob
"thumbsup" That is very true! I don't get as upset when someone who doesn't tattoo says it as much as hearing a tattooist say it! (Only new tattooist will slip up and say that or scratcher!):ror: I've never understood how that even got started? A tattoo machine looks nothing like a gun!

Never saw the episode, knew it was going to be stupid just by reading the show info. The ones on the show though, do they or did they show if they have any artistic talent? I mean if all you can draw is a half-assed stickman then you don't need to be anywhere near a tattoo shop.

The work they tattooed was beyond awful!!!!! Remember when Steve-0 got his smiley face tattoo in the back of a Hummer? Yea, they looked like that!!!! NO, they had no talent!!!!!

Well, if they are going to just tattoo themselves then they can go right ahead, but I hope to god they never open a shop or even attempt to try to get into an established one. I also hope this doesn't hurt great artists like yourself with shit like this that they put on tv.

hey Kenny, whats a smaller tat run? do I need parent sig being im only 17??
It would all depend on what the tattoo is exactly. Small to you may be medium to me. There are some states that allow 16-17 year old's to get tattooed now with a parents consent. Virginia is one of those states now. Alabama you can at 17 as well. I'm not sure on every state though.

Our shop min is $50 and large stuff is $80-125 a hour depending on what it is.;-)

Man it's like that with any skilled trade that the TV fags decide to turn into a "reality" show.
Next thing you know everybody's a freakin expert on airbrush/paint/fabrication/construction/tattoo etc because they watched the TV marathon that weekend.
