Tech thread: CrawlMaster 540

Just put some 16t's on order under custom wind. Thanks!!!

Here is the for sale thread. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3004225#post3004225

We have been winding these as fast as possible and selling out on the same day we put them on the site. If you want to secure your motors you can purchase them as a custom wind, it is typically a two week wait from order to shipment.

We have been trying to get some extra winders to help with the load, but it seems to be difficult to find good help. It is easy work for me, but the multiple workers we have trained still need more practice to get it right. Unfortunately I am limited on how many motors I can wind per day, so until we can get some extra hands winding we are limited in our production volume.

Thanks! About a week after ECC there should be around 30 finished motors that I will be able to charge the site with. Yours will be going out a bit sooner. Maybe even by the time I get back from ECC ;)

There will be quite a bit of these at ECC, and people can feel how well they drive first hand on my rig.

sorry, but I'm a bit of a newbie. I just got a RTR Honcho with the Axial 27t motor. I like my wheelspeed and so far I think the 27t is too slow for me. But I still want some low speed smoothness for when I do crawl. How do the 13t and 16t compare?

Oh...and I'm still a dinosaur...7.2v 6 cell 4200 mah nimh stick packs

I seen it metioned earlier that the crawlmaster isn't ideal for a losi...but what about losi axles with moa mounts on them?

People run machinewounds:ror: just fine this way, will the crawlmaster do good, or would the pro torque master still be better.

A 13t will be a good bit faster than the stock 27t for sure. It will also be a lot smoother on the low end. Good pick "thumbsup" The 16t will be slower or the same speed as the 27t, so the 13t will be the better choice for you.

With the newer winds we are seeing power densities the same as a TorqueMaster, so my original comments about them not being a good match for the losi are off base. I think the CM would do just fine.

What's the expected date to have these available again?
I'm thinikn' a 13 or 16t for my 1.9 scaler. My brushless motor took a dump and for now I have a stock 27t and it sucks balls.
I hear they always sell out fast so can I get on a wait list or is a custom wind the only way to lock one down?

We have some available on the site now. There is another batch of 16t on the way back from the balancer as well. If you don't see the wind you like in stock, getting one as a "custom" is the best way to grab it first. We don't have any backorders at the moment besides team orders that are taken care of, so you would be first on the list.

Practically my whole team is switching or will be switching over to these motors. Every person that has driven them, has bought them. Every person that has seen them in action, knows what the big deal is. I didn't name them CrawlMasters because it was catchy, I really believe these are the masters of the crawl!

Great,I just ordered 2 on custom wind,,,a 13 and a 16t 8)
I don't know why put PPal would not let me use instant transfer or CCard
only choice was e-cheque :???:
looking forward to tryin' these out in 2 of my rigs:mrgreen:

Holding them just for you "thumbsup" we will have the 13t done within a week.

how do the 13t handle 3s

Like butter, but they do wear fast because of the wheelspeed and power they will pull.

Just finished up more 16t motors, they are available for immediate purchase.

I know I've said this before but I am incredibly impressed with these motors. I've been running them for a couple months now in 2 different scalers and I don't want to run anything else again. They keep the high speed I want and the low speed control that is a must for precision driving. I'm going to be running them in all 3 of my rigs for Montana scale nationals. A 16t in my Street/Class 1 and 13t's in my Trail/Class 2 and TTC/Modified/Class 3 rigs and wouldn't have it any other way"thumbsup"

I agree 100%

Just got two of the 13t for my trail and mod rigs, make the 30 turn in my street rig look like old news

Just got fresh inventory of all winds except 32t, and will have armatures only in the next batch for guys that want to swap over without buying a whole new motor.

Feedback from a much larger pool of drivers confirms my findings that these are wearing much better and need less service than TorqueMaster motors. Now that we are getting ahead of demand I can take a little bit of time to get another vid of these in action on the rocks. If the tornadoes stop rolling through town that is. Three cheers for Missouri!
