"The Exocutioner" a Class 3 solid axle Wrexo

Looking good i tried to find this thread the other day but couldnt to save my life lol
Thanks. it dissapeared for a few days due to my vendor logo being in the first post. Logos gone, thread is back "thumbsup"

That is awesome! I hope we get to see a video of it in action!
Thanks. I'll get something up once I get all of the LEDs wired up with the controller.

Me too amzing work i do want to c a video please
Thank you "thumbsup"

Hey hoosierdady...the skinz on the exo roof could they be layed on a flat piece or does it have the indentions for the roof cowls??
It is designed to be layed out on a stock Exo roof panel. So the cowls are all there. It could be layed out on a flat piece but the flames and all might be a little distorted.

So my controller finally showed up the other day. I picked up some red LED strips from Walmart to use as rock lights. After a few hours of soldering I finally had everything wired up and ready to go. Next up, make a battery tray.
I used some .040 styrene, some velcro and a strap to make one.

It'll screw in place using 2 screws and also 2 zip ties to make sure it doesn't move. Goes a little something like this.

With the wiring done, I moved on to mounting the panels using some m2 scale hardware from LockedupRC. Here it is with the front end lit up.

The back isn't as bright, but that's on purpose. Anyone who has driven a rig in the dark knows that lights on the back just blind the driver. I used two white LEDs back there so I could see to walk and just in case I had to reverse.

It's a little bright to say the least.

And here's some video. I had another that showed all of the modes, how they flashed and the different speed settings but my wife kept bitc....I mean talking in the background so I deleted it . Anyways, enjoy the show.

:lmao: :lmao:
It drove me nuts. I told her what I was doing, turned off the lights and she kept talking, and griping about how it was dark and couldn't see the ashtray, etc. I was about to lose it. I may still have it....

After watching it, all you can hear is her saying "WTH?" "I can't even see the ashtray right now" then after I stopped recording I told her what I was doing (again) and she said, "Nobody wants to see your damn Christmas lights in a video" lmao . Love my wife...

:lmao: that's funny. That thing gets blinking pretty fast.
It strobes better in a different mode than that one. It'll soft fade, fade then blink, fade up, fade down, strobe, constant on/off, dimmer as well as 100%, 75% and 50% intensity. It handles 12v input w/ a 6a output. Not to mention it weighs barely anything at all. I'll waterproof it with some liquid electrical tape tonight.

Thats nice, makes me want to do that in the yeti hunter if there wasnt already such a wad of wiring in a tight place.

It's as easy and wiring it to the battery plug and then your main LED line.

those are the light strips from the autoparts store riht?

looks awesome bud
Yup. $12 at Walmart for the larger red LED strips under the truck "thumbsup".

So I got a little work done on the rig last night. I got the battery holder mounted up and it is very secure.

With the side panel in place to cover the lipo...

I've got some refining to do, but you get the idea.

Next up....random pics

The obligatory flex shots...

I've got a few more details to add. I finally scored a Proline fuel cell for the rear and my tow shackles are enroute. I'll probably add a few more details once it's done as well. I'm not a fan of body pins at all, so this side panel has me concerned. I may try to figure something else out there.

Looking very bad ass!! love that motor!

I might have to steal your battery tray idea. Are you running 2 or 3s?

This build was very thought out and built! Well done SIR!
Thank you "thumbsup"

So as previously mentioned, the amount of "bite" I had on the rear drive shaft bothered me. I bought the Supershafty Exclusive male MIP piece to fix this issue. "Exclusive" MIP X-Duty CVD™ Bone - Super Shafty

So what started as this...

Became this...

I also mounted the Proline Fuel Cell I finally located. I used a old half from the K5 build to make a lower profile tank for the cell to allow it to fit in place properly.

Next up, I needed a fire wall so I bent some scale diamond plate metal and trimmed it to fit. I added a piece of red vinyl to the top to help protect the wires that pass thru this area.

I mounted up the Proline fuel filters and pressure regulator as well as a few scale stickers to make it faster.

Scale oil pan?

Not bad in my opinion.

I finally got the tires cut and had it out for a test drive this weekend. The cut Claws performed wonderfully compared to stock. The only thing left really is to attach my tow shackles once I get them in and maybe a few scale touches here and there. I also ordered a handfull of scale screws from lockeduprc.com to replace the rest of the stock hardware on the cage. But enough talk, here are the pics.

I'm still trying to find some lenses for the rear light bar. I guess I'll have to buy a new set.

The steering works great. Rear steeer would be on the list if I had a 4 pos controller.

So I cut the tires and swapped the fronts around so they faced backwards during testing. It worked out great. Only more course and trail time will tell.

i got that same driveshaft problem you have im gonna have to get one of those Super shafty exclusive ones for yeti hunter the rear driveshaft is just barely engaged, the rig is looking great though!

Thanks. I only wish I would've bought one of these exclusive shafts before I dropped another $12 on the extended MIP ends. Total waste of $$$. I should've went the Super Shafty route from the start.

This rig is looking great, I like the mix up of kit's to get what you want and the detail pieces are great. Diggin' the cut Baja claws and running them backwards up front....hey why not if it works well. I will stay tuned.
