2007 has been a big year for the crawling community.
a lot of great products hit the market.
its time to have YOUR say on what YOU think has been the most innovative product this year.
there arent any rules, just have a say on what you think was the most useful, thought out, helpful, cant live without item that came out this year.
it can be a single part or a whole kit/truck, whatever, so long as it was designed for crawlers.
keep it civil and respect others opinions.

The Axial AX10 Scorpion is going to have to be in this list somewhere... It's brought a LOT of new people into this hobby.

Memory Foams

I dont really think the AX10 was "innovative"....they just mass produced what we were all already building. It did introduce a lot of new folks to these toys though....

TLT CVD's

Everything else is just a newer version of something else, the cvd's were the first of their kind for the crawling comunity, therefore the most invative."thumbsup"

It may not be the "best part" in some circles but when the terms "unique" and "innovative" come to mind the R2D tranny is right there in front.

Sure new cvd's, a crawler based kit and sticky tires were a godsend but they are just another flavor of the same thing for us crawlers. While the the R2d offers something truely unique over any other transmission on the market.

2) The Hustler
3) Holmes Hobbies Cobalt Puller Motor
4) PaulezK axle truss/link mount

Everything else is a natural progression or refinement of something else. These items were innovative, new ideas for crawlers.
The CVD's changed the face of crawling, big power/torque and reliability were not exclusive terms anymore.
The Hustler changed my mind about whether or not a tube chassis could be competitive. It also introduced the fully droop suspension.
The Cobalt motor was the first crawling motor to use Cobalt magnets and an armature that allowed for slow speed control but also has some amazing torque and speed. It even has some drag brake built in.
Paul's link mount took an idea that most people took for granted, upper links mounted to a flat upper plate, and not only did it different but threw in some great scale looks. All in an easy to manufacture design.
