I chose the 7PX for several reasons, one of which is that I didn't want to have to upgrade, then upgrade again, then upgrade again, and so forth. Additionally, going that route, you are constantly having to relearn. The smarter, and more cost-efficient, method is to select the best you can afford. That way, you not only don't have to learn "new", but, in the long run, you spend less money. I evaluated possibilities from Spektrum, Airtronics, and Futaba...in the long-run, the 7PX was the best option, and will cost me the least.Perhaps it would be easier to start with a simpler 3 channel radio with analog dials.

Dry easy to set end points.
