Nice! Where can we get those lights?

I'm sure there are other places to get them from, but I ordered mine through AMain. Search for 'Powershift RC Technologies'. These are, technically, taillights (red, not white, which goes with the theme in doing), but they have headlights, lightbar, and more. Their own store is at:

What's the benefit other than trying to sell links and a little bit of additional clearance that really doesn't matter anyway?

I don't really see the benefit of the high clearance links either, but I do see the benefit of the SS/Aluminum straight links. Drop some weight up high and even the lowers would probably be a bit lighter as well.

Put a tweak in the stock links for free

I'd far sooner (and will be) going with titanium links but they'll have more bend then those. The upper links will be 10mm shorter too. The stock links are too short.

I have a problem. My driver & navigator have escaped.

Thankfully, I was able to catch one of them, but he's not talking. I hate it when people lose their head over something.

Capra owner here!
Pinion idler and spur are 32p, tranny internals have smaller teeth, could be 48 but personally just assembled it without comparing gears...
By the instruction sheet the stock 14t 32p pinion is AX30569, and by the Horizon site picture, that looks like the correct pinion, with large shank and M4 grub.
Maybe it's just a misprint on Horizon page 48vs32...

According to the Axial website, AX30569 (ie. the stock 14T pinion included) is 48P, NOT 32P. So, to get the best answer on the 32P vs 48P debate, I called them. According to their info, spoken to me while on said phone call, the Capra's pinion is...48P. As such, the 13T would be AX30571. Hot Racing does have a hardened steel 12T (HRACSG1812), but for an 11T, don't know.

That is incorrect. It is most definitely 32P.

Fact. The included pinion is 32 pitch without any measurable amount of doubt in my mind.

Here is the stock 32 pitch 14 tooth pinion next to a 48 pitch pinion with more teeth. Notice any difference?

We are owners of this rig, not idiots behind a desk reading incorrect info off of directions. Before anyone spouts off "facts" they need to actually know what they're talking about.

Yeah the only source of confusion on Horizon's end is that someone like Rich hasn't put in the correction note yet and they're just help desk people reading the incorrect part number.

Ok, so I just took apart my Capra. Visually, I am in complete agreement...it definitely looks like a 32P, not 48P. So, to be certain, I, measured the pinion diameter, and calculated the pitch myself...14T, with a 12.85mm diameter, comes out to 31.8P...or, rounding up, 32P. So, here's a more important question - Why is Axial/Horizon Hobby telling people it's 48P?

To try and get this problem corrected...and, I'm sure many would agree, they do have a "problem" regarding this matter...I called them back, and explained the situation. They're going to pull a kit, measure the pinion, and find out whether it's 32P (as we all now know), or 48P (as they are claiming, and appear), then call me back with the info.

UPDATE:
I just got off the phone with Rich (not sure if it's the same, or a different, 'Rich'). They were entirely unaware that it is a 32P pinion. Corrections, in the manual, as well as under "Capra Parts", are being updated as I type this. He did say that it will probably take a few days for the corrections to appear online. In the meantime, for my "trouble" (or "assistance", depending on how one looks at it), they are sending me a 'complimentary' 11T pinion. Case closed...lol

Here are the correct part numbers:

14T - AXI30725
13T - AXI30724
12T - AXI30723
11T - AXI30722

They're just reading their screens. Kind of like calling computer company for tech support. First thing they say is unplug it because thats the first page in their book lol. :lmao:

Oh, how well I know that one. My dad was an programmer/analyst for IBM for 30+ years. I've been building computers for over 25yrs, and I always try to do whatever troubleshooting I can before calling. That way, as soon as they start to "help" me, I can inform them of what I've done, so that they don't try to have me do the same things again.

At least Axial is on the right track. Between them discovering the problems on their own, being informed of problems by people like us, and us assisting them in finding problems (as I just did), the errors are getting resolved. I figure, someone purchasing the Capra six months from now will never know any problems existed, as the kit, manual, and online info, will all have been "perfected".

The power of the forums

Try following all the troubleshooting on FBook or finding this much experienced support

Axial has definately done a great job on this one, its great seeing a new project coming from them. "thumbsup"

I'm in agreement. I wasn't trying to start any arguments...just like everyone else, just want/need the correct info. Reminds me of something that turned into a serious argument about a year ago, in the Traxxas forum. Is was a 32P vs 0.8MOD debate. Some were saying they're exactly the same, completely interchangable w/o any problems...others were saying they're different, but can be used together. As was "discovered", they are NOT the same, but are close enough that they can usually be used together.

So I just bought and recieved the AXI231006 Capra chassis/cage parts.
Has anyone else bought that yet and is missing the marked parts as well?
I did get 3 instead of 1 of those door handle things though...
