I couldn't disagree more. He says the dumbest shite EVER. The one that bothered me the most this time was how he kept going on and on about how one of the fighters took the other fighters back. The guy had one butterfly in. Ray Charles could have seen that. If you don't have both, then you don't 'have' anyones back. He does stuff like that almost every fight. He's not smoking weed, he's smoking crack.

Every commentator will make mistakes here and there... its live. its bound to happen. as far as i know, joe is a guy who is well respected by the guys who take part in profesional MMA. i dont think theres a good argument that he doesnt know his stuff. if you dont like his style or find him annoying thats a personal preference and were all entitled to those"thumbsup"
either way, the jones, sonnen fight was epic!!

I thought about that. I couldn't imagine the pressures of his job, dealing with as many DBags (cough, cough, Diaz Brothers, cough, cough, Bisbing, cough, cough, Koscheck) as he has to deal with.

joe R knows his stuff, i dont fault him for making mistakes in these fight. i have watched so many other sporting shows where you can tell the announcers are getting evrything piped into them from the stat guru's in the truck. NBA guys. half the time when they are listening they miss huge parts of the game and gloss over them.
if you have ever watched joe on youtube with other fighters he actually knows his stuff, he has even taught GSP some things.

Let's talk Joe mistakes... After the really bad eye poke, he went on and on about how something has to be done about the gloves. Granted, there were A LOT of eye pokes this time around. But what the heck could he be thinking??? If your fingers aren't free, you had might as well take out BJJ. He made it sound like the fighters should all be using 14oz boxing gloves. Even if the fingers had 'socks', it would really affect grip... What's next? Should they bar inside leg kicks to reduce the risk of getting kicked in the junk? Sure, Joe knows a lot, but he makes technical mistakes all of the time. Most of the time, it's nothing the average fan would catch though. I've been training in MMA for years now. Couple that with my distaste for Joe and my OCD, and that might explain why I am more than a little annoyed with his commentating.
ive met rogan a couple times after his comedy shows, not like hanging out, just waiting in line for a pic and autograph. (the gf has a huge ***** boner for him...) and hes always been very respectful and just comes off as a honestly good-natured person.

I suppose he wasn't joking so much about Silva, but that didn't bother me so much since I like Silva about as much as he does. When all is said and done, Chael was humble. I like humble fighters. It's a weird thing, to have to be confident AND humble. I wish, for Chael's sake that the fight hadn't been called. Jones would have won the title back after he healed... and Chael would have attained a hard fought life goal.
So... is Chael not humble for his attitude toward Silva? Maybe not... In a UFC fight, Chael is the only person who has ever kicked Silva's butt. He lost the war, but he won the battles; strange as that may sound. So, I can understand his attitude, since he KNOWS that he could beat Silva, but that he just hasn't been able to yet (and likely won't have another chance).
The Douchiaz brothers talk smack because they are REALLY not all that smart. They're not kidding around, they're delusional. How can you possibly lump them together with Chael Bob? I am truly disappointed in you...
