UFC Tonight

Conor won rounds and the fight was stopped too early. A win for UFC.

I don't think anybody was truly surprised by the end result, but I also think Conor did much better than a lot of people expected. He's not a boxer and he held his own, including winning rounds, against one of the all time best boxers. Not bad in my book.

The ref was absolutely horrible from start to finish though.

I don't know the ref was terrible but I think he did step in early, but the outcome would of been the same..he was gassed and taking a lot of shots..still a solid knockout would of been nice to see.
Conor did better than most figured.

Not sure there will be a rematch, can't create that kind of lightning in a bottle twice

Watching the post fight...Mayweather said he told everyone he was going to go for it, that he could've sat back, took my time... what? It sounds like that's exactly what he did...tenth round? Really?

Whatever "happened" it was still one of the better fights I've paid for in a while. It worked, I have never and probably will never paid to watch boxing before.

I said the ref was horrible, but not just because of the early stoppage. He didn't deduct points from Conor for all of the punches to the back of the head. He didn't force Mayweather to step far back when he stepped in to break the fighters apart. And there were multiple times that both fighters punched each other while being broken apart.

Why didn't the ref give Conor a standing 8 count? Was that not in the rules for this fight?

Conor was clearly gassed, but he wasn't in any danger.

I have seen worse without points deducted.
Conor was gassed, and at that exact moment he could of hung on, but he was pretty much not able to defend properly..I wish he could of kept his hands up more but he was tired and his arms done from the amount of shots he put out..imho.
I think 10-20 seconds more..if Maywether kept the heat on it would of been a TKO regardless.
I wonder if the ref had instructions to not let big damage happen?

My thoughts and they probably don't matter to any of you....
Glad this shit is over. So much hype for the outcome that most knew was going to happen.

This was done for the money, I feel like Conor knew he wouldnt win but the amount of money he was getting was too much to turn down, plus there is the whole ego thing...

Conor just cant go for an extended time in a fight..which you could clearly see in this match.

That's how I felt about the frickin' eclipse.

This was Conor's retirement plan. That's my bet. He's obviously a very smart business man. In one boxing fight he probably made as much as he would have in his entire UFC career.

This sucks kinda, if anyone was interested..Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov is off(4th time now), Ferguson stumbled or something lame at a press conference and tore a knee ligament..a little fragile I guess:roll:..Khabib would of mauled him.

They have put Max Holloway in for Ferguson. Make a good matchup but only 7 days for Max to prep..Could be a real good fight.

At least fighting at 155 on short notice, Max likely won't need to cut much weight. It should be a good fight, but I'd still put my money on Khabib. Unless Max can land some big shots, I think Khabib will finish him on the ground.

Holy fawk, Conor has lost his mind, this overated dumbfawk cost 3 fights..I hope he loses his licence and gets deported.

What a complete gong show. Has he wrecked his career?

It would seem so, but UFC is a world of it's own.

:lmao: Lose his license and get deported? Kind of an overreaction don't ya think? He's a fighter. They don't have the best temperaments or control over their emotions.

Once again, this video shows some action, but it doesn't show what happened before. The media loves these click bait videos that don't show the whole story. Maybe the fighters on the bus did something to Conor or his crew first. I don't know. Either way I don't think it justifies more than simple vandalism and assault charges. It might go felony because of the cost of the damages though.

The UFC still needs Conor IMO. There aren't many exciting fighters that will fight anybody anytime like Conor.

I was and still am a Conor fan. Is he an idiot for doing this? Yes. Will it cost him sponsors, fans, and money from lawsuits? Yes. But he'll fight again. If UFC doesn't want him Bellator will take him.

How long until he fights though? Unless this whole thing is staged, he may end up mired in legal issues for quite a while.hard to imagine this helpful for his training

The story from just about everywhere is that Khabib's crew confronted Artem Lobov (one of Conor's buddies) and Khabib told him to quit talking shit about him.

3 misdemeanors and 1 felony

That's the thing, he's not fighting anyone anytime. Since his Mayweather fight, I don't think he cares because of his fat wallet.

I don't think Bellator could pay him enough. He was spoiled by the UFC and honestly, I don't think he's worth what we he wants for future fights. His lack of fighting and actions outside the cage have soured a lot of his fans to the point that they just don't care anymore. There's a ton of other fighters I'd rather watch than him at this point.

This is the 2nd time he has shown that he isn't a pro..maybe he should do backyard youtube bum fights. He injured 2 fighters on the eve of their fights..NOT A PRO..lol
Money and fancy suits have gone to his head.
He did this because Khabib put his hand on the back of Artems head, during an argument..I guess Artem is like a wife to Conor or something:roll:
Artem was part of this attack so he is out..6 fighters not fighting on the eve of the fight because of a prima donna:lmao:

It's been too long since he defended the title. I've been anxiously awaiting his defense. Dana let it ride too long.

I figured it wasn't a random attack. But what did Khabib's team do before the video started. We all know that these days no video tells the whole truth.

3 misdemeanors and 1 felony
What was the felony - assault?

See my response to smog above above.

I will also add that I'm pretty sure the Mayweather fight was Conor's retirement plan. He obviously fights to take care of himself and his family. When you have enough money to do that and live luxuriously, or had depending on how much is taken from him in the form of lawsuits, where's the motivation to continue abusing your body? At the end of the day fighting is abusing your body.

I don't think Bellator could pay him enough. He was spoiled by the UFC and honestly, I don't think he's worth what we he wants for future fights. You might be right about Bellator not being able to afford him.

He was worth it because he came in and dominated two classes and got two belts. He was the #1 guy in two classes. But this, for sure, messed that up. Only time will show us how bad.

What was the first time? I'm not remembering.

Fighters are different people. They don't always act like pros or even adults. There's a long history of proof of this.

The fight is about what you think you know. We probably don't know the whole story and probably never will. But even so, personal beefs with fighters often lead to physical altercation among their cliques. They protect their friends so you throwing "wife" in there really isn't what it's about.
