could the venom creeper compete with a axial, and what are the best mods for the creeper to compete with a pro comp axial ax10 or pro comp xr10
Its not as easy as that.....a stock Creeper will out crawl a stock AX10....we've seen it happen time and time again...but that goes back to driver vs. driver too....there are variables to consider.
When you say "pro comp ax10" are you meaning a Pro Class rig built with dig and all the mods or ? Cuz heres the thing....if the Creeper has the mods I recommend and is built to match the class then yes you will compete pretty evenly and in some cases better than these other rigs...but again it comes back to driver skill....the worst driver in the world wont compete well with even the top built rig on the planet while the best driver will out crawl everyone even with the not so good crawler. Its about modifying the rig to make it competitve but its also about learning your rig and what it can do and how to drive it. THis is an age old question going back to RC10 days..."Will I be able to compete with this thing?" My first response to the question is "NO!"....not until you learn its abilities and inabilities. You have to know how much flex it has, how much roll over angle it has, where its tip over angle is, how veritcle it will climb and descend, how much sidehill will it do, how sensative is the throttle settings and how much reserve power do you have, do you run dig for a Pro Class rig or do you run Sportsman? These are all questions you have to answer on your own by spending hours with your rig practicing. I advise anyone to spend time crawling Sportsman Class first...it teaches you to crawl better...because you dont have the crutch of the dig.
My rig competes successsfully against AX's and others all the time...Ive won many comps with it...but I know my rig too. I still run Sportsman class because I just enjoy the class and the less stressful attitudes in the class. A coupl eof Pro Class drivers I know have begun running Sportsman rigs due to the same reasoning.
