venom vr3t & venom 3ch pmc

Ok so I have been googling all over and cant find it. the simple thing.. binding this thing..
It was in a pile of old parts I have. Gave my friend the axial setup out of this rig and figured lets get it going..

so
1. searched google
2. searched this site

no where can I find binding instructions..

now what I have tried..

1. put bind plug into B
2. turn TX on
3. turn RX on with bind button held for few seconds release


not sure what I am doing wrong but I have tried holding button from 1 seconds to 20 seconds and am lost...

duhhh just noticed the manual shows a TX with crystal so not 2.4ghz..

2.11 FUNCTION / MODULATE
This is used to bind the VR3T to the 3 Ch 2.4ghz receiver.
NOTE: The Bind plug will be needed for this step.
1) Plug the Bind plug into channel 1 of the 3 Ch 2.4ghz receiver.
2) Turn on power to the 3 Ch 2.4ghz receiver.
3) Turn on the power on the VR3T transmitter.
4) Press ENTER to see the FUNCTION MENU.
5) Use the +/- Keys to select the MODULATE function and press ENTER.
6) Use the +/- Keys to select YES.
7) Press ENTER to bind the 3Ch 2.4ghz receiver to the VR3T Transmitter.
8) When it says SET OK, binding is complete.
9) Press EXIT to save and return to the FUNCTION menu. BIND SCREEN


so bind plug into ch1 and plug the esc into ch2?

I have tried this and didn't work gonna try again...

axial ax-3 tx to a spektrum sr-3100?

i have those on the bench...

from what I can tell, the pcm receivers aren't compatible with the fhss radio, so they don't bind to each other.

edit: from what I see, the first 2.4ghz model vr3t was a pcm radio, with a folding antenna and no "fhss" on the sticker, just "2.4g" under the vr3t logo on the sticker. It looks like yours is a later model with a different receiver.

the axial ax-3 is a flysky compatible radio, so a spektrum receiver won't bind to that, either. You'll need an ar-3 or flysky v2 receiver.

the good news, is that a spektrum sr-3100 is worth $20-30, so you could sell it and buy the correct rx, or a cheap tx/rx combo.

so more to tell here.. I'm thinking there is a problem with the esc...

so I let my buddy borrow the venom setup last year and he had it in his rig so I know the venom receiver and venom tx work together...

seemed I couldn't get it to bind so I put an axial FM setup in... so no binding..

rig isn't going with that either.. not sure what gives....


OH SHEEZE WRITING THIS I MAYBE OVERLOOKING 1 THING!!! my lipo maybe dead LOL.... BRB....

well I guess I'm old school... I want a controller per car... even though I have a spectrum dx3s. Albeit not great..

so I just took a SR-3100 RX out of the drawer... put it in, went into DX3s and changed to a new memory and bind the setup.

well car drives, goes, and is alive...

the venom setup wont bind as I am doing something wrong. the venom will also has 15 memory so would be nice (not that I would use more than 1)...

so for now I have to figure out if I want to use my DX3s also for this rig or get a RX for the axial stock radio as I have an extra...
