What? A YetiXL?

This new picture sure looks like the side profile of a Bomber Fab buggy. The upward slope between the windshield bar and the shock area makes me lean that way.

And incase any of us forgot. Hallenback has been running an Axial sponsored Bomber Fab rig...

Is the unveiling tomorrow? I seem to recall some gossip of big news coming out of ihobby. I hope the traxxas noise box wasn't it.

Big Squid will have one at iHobby this weekend. I'd imagine we all get to see it tomorrow.

Wait, so they were in it together! Haha.

Looking forward to this. The scale is intriguing. Is it a gasser? That would blow the roof off.

I don't see it being gas powered, too much of a PITA for a lot of people. Axial is still a crawler/rock racer company and that's where this is aimed at although I do know they had nitro in the beginning. It's a lot easier to go running around at the local park when it's electric than gas, draws less complaints, lol.

1/8 electronics, but I'm sure someone will convert it sooner or later....

Maybe the new Dynamite .31 gas engine? Hmmmm

Maybe it has solid axles front and rear like the bomber fab buggy mentioned above.....that would be awesome.

Absolutely agree with you. But gas is not nitro. When I was racing 1/8 scale, nitro was $35 a gallon. Petro is hovering around $4.

Gassers are not as finicky as nitro motors. I've never owned a gas RC, but my weed wacker is "basically" fill and use... Year after year.

Just saying it would really be a game changer. And axial could maybe be going back to their roots with a piston.

Not happening with this one.

I agree - being that the yeti is ifs and solid rear - the xl should be the same thing - just scaled up in CAD

If that silhouette comparison image is accurate it definitely isn't just a scaled up yeti chassis. The lines are similar but they are clearly not the same. The body can hide whats going on in the hood area but the angles and proportions of the tubes around the cab are all different. There may be parts that are just scaled up but I think it's an all new chassis.
