What did you do to/with your Ascender today

Almost complete:

You literally just blew my mind with the windshield decal of people driving your truck. Gotta do the side windows now and it’ll be legit. I’m too lazy for an interior and hate the added weight but hate seeing my electronics inside too.
Again, mind blown.

Ben

Drove out to my usual spot for a short while. I just got a used once Gopro Hero 6 so gave it a try. It was damn cold at the top, 5C and very windy. Enjoy the view.

Honestly... Wasn't that bad... Got the main image (Dude and Walter) a little MS Paint magic (my Photoshop program ended about 2007), a printer and some packing tape, VOILA`!

Thanks for the kudos.... "thumbsup"

I bought a used Ascender Bronco with extra sets of wheels and tx/rx off ebay just for spares. I don't know what the other shell is and the cage is definitely home made. The Bronco shell has had the rear almost completely ripped off, so it's either bin it or maybe try a cab build. I'm keeping the chassis built up so I can use it to prototype some RULR's aand other stuff.

It looks like it's had some rough treatment, but as long as stuff like axles, trans and drivetrain are good then it's worth having. Ascenders don't seem too popular over here, so having some spares is worthwhile as ordering stuff takes a while. The tyres are Gmade MT1904. They look like they might work in the damp terrain around here so will give them a go.

You should see the bolts going into the body. At least 8mm lol. Must have been a blacksmith that built it

:ror: when I zoom in I can see the Nuts. Hilarious. Now we know the 'N' stands for.

2s would be fine. But 3s as soon as you start torqueing the servo good she'll burn up. It's almost double the recommended voltage.

Catastrophes? I am intrigued.... LOL

Recommended.... My "recommended" daily allowance of calories is 2000, but I assure you that I go WAY above that.... LOL....

I have a 3bros G13 that runs up to 14.4v.... Got the idea from that... I figure these servos aren't all the pricey, so what the heck.... I can tell you so far, it is a heckuva lot faster running directly off the battery... Ya never know, this could be the "Crawling Hack of the Century"... Or more than likely end up a disaster..... "thumbsup"

Updates to be made as new data is collected....

K10 Redux...
This one has trained 3 new drivers, been thrashed to death, repainted twice, and now a new lease on life. It still drives great.

HW1080 with stock Dynamite 35T, plus-1 pinion
Beeftubes in front
Extended rear lengths for WB4, stock front, puts WB right at 11-7/8" or 301mm. Just did this last night - works out well. Shocks have been out-boarded. Trujillo mod yet to do for shocks.
ADS-15 Arrma servo - DS3218 in the box.

I had robbed the rear cage for my other crawler so got a new one for this project...mod'd for a 3mm birch plywood flatbed. Works out quite nicely, have to trim down the rear body mounts that are not used for the K10. If'n I ever want to run a different body will likely have to get new shock towers.
Body has been lowered, front bumper raised and pulled in. Tamiya lexan paint on the outside. Yes, this was a yellow truck when it was new. 8)
SSD Steelies
Oh, and I got to put to use all those little ammo cans Axial packs with their kits. I always wondered what those were for. LOL
