What did you do to/with your Ascender today

I built this obnoxious belly pan to replace the RC4WD sliders that seem to grab almost as much as they slide.

Well, technically, yesterday.... I put in some new GMC diff adapters and Junfac driveshafts (may have stripped a grub screw or two... FAWK!) on the Little Lebowski Urban Achievers K-10, ordered the Axial thru pins, as well as some silicone shock adapters for the new Gmade Dual Rate XD shocks that showed up in what-I-assume-to-be record time from South Korea....

"thumbsup"

I just put the Gamade Dual Rate shocks on my Ascender K10. The come with nice alumium balls for top and bottom. Really nice shocks, but not driven it yet. See my thread for more if you want.

Not today, but my last mod was 3D printed armor accessories and front grill replacement.

Junfac shafts squared away with Axial thru pins, G-made Dual Rate XD's built and installed. Figured I would post a pic of the cool shock building jig I came up with... LOL

I like that jig lol. When I did my shocks I cut slots in a pice of 10mm x 30mm wood, but your just look so cool.

New Shocks in place:

And new driveshafts set up:

I haven't gotten around to serious tuning, but the torque twist seems to have diminished greatly at this point...

I'm impressed with the Dual Rate shocks on my Ascender. They seem to reduce the torque twist even though my time was limited yesterday.

This is a great thread. It's probably time I post something in here. I have been into 'ruining 'stuff lately, if I might reference tooldforthis. Decided to give my F100 a kick

Got my 3BrosRC servo to balance port harness in and cleaned up some stuff... Eliminated my BPC battery tray, not because I didn't love it, but on the Little Lebowski Urban Achievers K10, it was rubbing on the tires and I didn't need a huge battery for my limited crawling times.... Have some CF to make a battery plate next to the steering servo.... Also with the new G-Made XD dual rate shocks and my custom (read : sh!tty homemade) RULR's, torque twist is a non-factor, even on 3s...

Also added my last Hobbywings 1080 ESC to the mix...

I did notice my tires can rub a little on the BPC battery tray but it hasn't affected the way the truck works but I'm with you as I don't care for the fact it can rub. I might have to take it off and give to a buddy that works as machine shock and can cut it up neatly so it don't rub. Will go out a few more times and then decide.

I like how clean your setup looks. Nice and neat. I appreciate neat wiring and electronic layouts.

Thanks... That is the telecom tech in me... Still may move the ESC up front, but for now, I need to get the it out on the rocks for the young'ens.... LOL

Where do those RULR plates come from? And will they work with stock rocker guards?

Sano setup. "thumbsup"

They came from Home Depot in the form of a T-shaped fence bracket I cut in half, longitudinally (been waiting to use that word in casual conversation) and drilled some poorly placed holes in, then painted gold....

By rocker guards, I assume you mean sliders, or whatever they are called, and if that is the case, well, maybe....

I haven't gotten that far with them as they are "totally custom" and my K10 didn't come with that part... I have a few sets from my Bone Stock K5 and the "Clearance Rack K5" kit I built.... I will let you know as soon as I can find those parts... "thumbsup"

Edit : I am about 110% sure I got the basis for this idea from this site... I think the first time I saw it was on Natedog's K5 build thread... IIRC, it was from something that Codyboy had made... Please don't think I had any original ideas as far as this is concerned. I was walking through HD and saw the fence bracket and thought "That looks like it may work....."
