What did you do to/with your Ascender today

Picked up a Hobbywing 1080 the other day. Working on installing it in the truck. Fits nicely in the receiver box “fuel cell”. Will I get any interference with the esc so close to the receiver? Paint pen is there to hold the esc in place during mock up.

Go check out Natedog's thread. In the last half dozen posts he showed how he fit the Hobbywing in the box.

I've got those and CCBEC in there n a bit more, not a problem so far. :lmao:"thumbsup"

I don't get any problems with my Tekin FXr and CC BEc in there.

Perfect thank you! Didn’t know if I’d get any weird radio or signal interference with running them so close to one another.

The HW is waterproof anyway - stock location is fine.

Last comp I lent out my K10 RTR to a new guy and he thrashed it pretty hard - scratched and dented.

I never really liked the yellow all that well anyway, so it got sanded down and Tamiya Poly rattle-canned. 8)

Esc's can get pretty warm, that's what the aluminum heat sinks on top are for. If it's in the reciever box you may cook things.

Got the 4Runner body, would it be all that hard to get these pre cut? Once I shorten the spacers on the bumpers it will look pretty good on there. Going to finish trimming then paint tomorrow .

My new favorite tire. The only places the tsl’s do better is in sand and mud. These are definitely better in rock, loose dirt and gravel and in hard pack, at least that’s the conclusion I came to after trying them out back to back. After a couple runs there are no signs of wear, i mostly run on rock and the tsl’s seem to be wearing pretty quick.

I love the Hyrax tires too, I have them on 2 different rigs and have never been disappointed with them. I like your Gmade wheels too "thumbsup"

I had some of the RC4WD Baja Squadron Led's but the tiny adjustment screws would no longer tighten causing the lights to move up and down on their own so I took them apart and stuck the led circuit boards in some Axial light buckets with some hot snot.....Rock solid now and I think they look better too "thumbsup"

Going to work on the shock mod today and then again later tonight along with lowering my shocks a little plus some new o rings so hopefully my new Vaterra shocks don't leak. Its one of my last projects to do other than to run my Ascender and have fun.

No pics yet but my GCM rear leaf kit phase 2 is on its way to my house!
Now i need to figure out what leafs and shocks...

Finally got my new body painted, did a couple coats of bedliner on the inside and might do it on the bumpers and sides on the outside.
