What extreme things have you done to support your RC hobby?

I turned 1/3 of my house into an RC workshop....it's the basement - it's dirty, spiderwebby, and damp at times....but it's my favorite room in the house.

I bought a house so I could have room for my rc's. but I need to knock 2 walls down if I want better organization. right about now.. my basement floor is filled with boxes of parts and cars.

I could just sell everything I don't use anymore and just keep the crawlers and race rigs I actually use.

Admirable! I would never have courage like you.

Yup. It was kind of a spur of the moment trip this time so I just rolled solo. I'll usually give my buddies a good enough heads up that at least 1 will go with me. It's a huge area clear full of lines, pretty much every boulder has at least 1 killer line or 10, it's pretty epic.

I really didn't take any pics last time but the trip last month still had a bunch of snow hiding a lot of it. There is easily 20x's this just by the road.

Excellent. I have an 8 ft. x 6 ft. corner in my wife's "art room". At least that's what I was allowed in the beginning. Inch by inch I've been slowly expanding that. Either she hasn't noticed or she's not prepared to bring it up for discussion yet. I'm okay with that.

Well about 5 years ago I sold my very expensive DSLR camera (Canon 5DmkII) to buy the even more expensive Nikon DSLR that was to be released a month or two latter. I got tired of waiting for the camera to get to stores and ended up blowing the wad of cash on RC Crawling stuff, and went back to shooting my film cameras :mrgreen:

No big deal, I'm a truck driver so 300 miles is just another afternoon. :lol:

Well, I did quit cold turkey after 30 years of smoking, but after 3 years I started again. Much harder now...

Quiting is easy, just stop buying them. It fawking sucks for a bit but it's sooo worth it. I quit cold turkey 11 1/2 years ago. I still want one most every day but now it's all about the personal resolve to not throw this run away.
