What shoes do you wear for a day on the rocks?

I wear adidas running shoes. But been looking into the vibram five fingers.

ive been looking at those too, but im thinking that a sharp rock may hurt going inbetween the toes :shock:

Vibram Five Fingers TrekSports. The sole has traction like a hiking boot, but it is like walking barefoot all the time. They're awesome, I wear mine all the time no matter what I'm doing.

I have a set of the Five Fingers "Classic". They are good on most rocks but suck for rip-rap type comps.

Sometimes the vibrams won't cut it so I break out the Adidas.

The ones with laces are made for a wider foot. Found out the hard way. Make sure when you get a pair get them a bit smaller they will break in nice

The Vibram TrekSports must be for a wider foot as well because I am a 4E width in Chippewa boots, and a E or 2E width in most everything else. but these Five Fingers fit perfectly. I am still amazed how much traction they have too. Mountain goat traction! :shock: lol

If there is no water around Reef Flip Flops, if it is near water, like at the lake, I just go barefoot. Winter is Nikes, but I have beel looking into those glove shoe things too

I'll give a 3rd vote for any Keen boot/shoe. The only boot that fits me perfectly every time. A plus that they are a local Portland, Oregon company.
