Wheelbase vs trailing arm length

Awesome. I'd definitely be interested in the twin hammers length trailing arm and matching upper for the bomber. From what I can tell the uppers need to be pretty much the same length and the trailing arms eye to eye?

Cool. Hit me up in about 2 weeks when I have more arms and we can get you rollin.

So the stock wraith rear upper links will not work in this setup? Are you familiar with Screamers build that performs the same mod? It seems on his build the stock wraith rear upper links are long enough?

It will come down to the upper link truss. Currie and Dlux trusses utilize about a 10mm longer upper link than stock. You can use a Jato end (not recommended) if your links are too short. I would just run the proper upper links though as Jatos are prone to breakage and when they break, they can often break other things. Its just best to get the correct link length. FYI, I have options on my site for both lengths.

Could you put any information up on how much change in wheelbase those twin hammers arms will provide? I want to take some measurements on my bomber, but would be interested purely to get the axle in position to provide more space for a steering servo.

If that is the case, count me in on rear trailing and upper links.

Only problem is that I dont know exactly how much shorter a TH trailing arm is vs Yeti, Bomber or Wraith. This is the only piece of info I would need.

Wraith is .5" shorter than Bomber FYI.

I will be at a lhs this weekend, will bring measuring device.

Yes from Axial with three different stiffness options too I believe. I don't know the part number. Dlux's universal works as well but needs to be cut to fit.

Oops, I thought you were asking about running a sway bar on a Wraith. You will be able to use the options that are available for the Bomber from Dlux, Axial, and others but you may have to run it mounted on the rear "bumper" facing forward and attached to the trailing arms. With Wraith TAs or shorter twin hammers TAs, the axle might be too far forward to run a sway bar with the links attached to the axle.

That's what I figured...torque twist may not be as bad with the shorter wheel base either. I mean, I don't see a lot of wraiths with sway bars and this is virtually the same wheel base after modded. Did you notice any when you ran yours with the wraith trail arm?

No but I'm also underdriven in the rear which pretty much eliminated torque twist for me even when the wheelbase was stock length.

Finally, I should have a ton in my hands tomorrow morning.

I will have the typical Bomber/Yeti, Wraith and I will make some of these Twin Hammer length. I am just hesitant to make more than a couple of the Twin Hammer since I dont know how well they sell.

If you want Twin Hammer length, speak up so you dont have to wait.

Also, I would plan on making these 116mm eye to eye according to the thread MNorby started. If you need a different length other than that, let me know.

I definitely want a set of TH length, let me know when they are ready for sale. Might post up in the Twin Hammers section too.

Can anyone tell me the length difference between the stock bomber and the twin hammers? Curious on my wheelbase changes.

I'm definitely in for a set of twin hammers length.

Make that 2 sets.

Stock Bomber/Yeti is 142mm eye to eye
Stock Wraith is 126mm eye to eye
Looks like stock twin hammers is 116mm eye to eye

Cool.

I will make 10 or so sets today. I will post up tomorrow morning when they are on the site.
