Does anyone on know here know if the rig and pinions from the HPI Wheely King will work in AX10 axles? I know they have the same amount of teeth but don't know if everything else will work. I want to run Traxxas T-maxx shafts but don't want to drill out the stock pinion shafts.

I think they're the same...but why not just use the HPI pinion shaft? If the gears are the same, why bother swapping them when you only need the shaft that goes up to 6mm out the diff.

I run Wheely King 6mm pinion shafts /pinion gears with Axial ring gears in my Axial axles. Works wonderful.8)
The ring & pinion gears are both interchangable between the WK and AX-10.
The only difference is the back side of the ring gears are shaped slightly different... This really affects nothing...BUT i feel that the Axial ring gears fit my "Bonus Line lockers" better so I used them.

Switching to the WK 6mm pinion shafts (along with CDW 6mm tranny outputs) and Maxx shafts has been one of the best upgrades if have done for my crawler."thumbsup"

I been running WK hardened R+P's for awhile with my rig. Stock R+P's was waved real bad so I didnt screw around. The maxx shafts and gears in my r2d are the things that go now. Maxx shafts dont break but twist over time.

X2 - exact same setup"thumbsup"

Thanks for the replies guys. I was going to buy a set of axial hardened gears but since the wheely king gears have the pre drill shaft I may as well use them.
