Move this if needed... no spot for just crawling pictures and such, not a get together nor a comp event......just traveling and crawling :flipoff:

Okay, not actualling in Whistler but in Whistler Creek(aka Creekside). We stayed at Creekside this year and saved a couple bucks but won't do it again next year, sucks to drive to the Village everyday and find a parking spot and then, etc, etc... blah, blah, blah...

Here's some freaking pictures from my one and only time crawling, only ran through one battery then my 1/4 scale servo died.... I have no idea what went wrong with it, just no life in it at all.

Last few rocks on the 2nd set of rocks, what Tater-Tot was seeing as it was crawling downward....

Took a nice 3 foot tumble off a rock, then rolled about 5-6 feet and stopped like this....

Making the turn to the next section of rocks only to find out that Tater-Tot is a "Rock-Hugger" type of rig    .......

Headed up 3rd leg of the trail & the 'Tot get's a bit ahead of me......

Wayyyyy up there......

Just after this image I made it about 15 feet or more and the battery died... the front 1/4 scale servo also died at the same time too!!

I rolled on out with rear steering only!! :D

Look just off to the left side of the building, see the chairlift pole popping out of the trees... see the gray colored rocks under it?... they start off to the left side, that's where I started the trail. I had to take the road out after I lost the front servo(1/4 scale quit on me :? ) Fun, fun, fun...

Here's my route I took on the little trail, took me about 1 hour to run it, only stopped a couple times to drink some water, freakin' hot out even at 7PM!!

Started on the left side and worked my way to the right...then rolled all the way down via rear steer only, that took about 25-30 minutes, yeah I could have walked it out but it weighs 11lbs.

Well SHIT!... Now I'm going to have to pack up my crawler too when I go to Whistler to ride my DH bike... Your killing me, now I have to mix both of my passions.

There was water, just didn't venture towards that spot.

Yes it snows there and there is WAY to much stuff to do there as well!!! This place is world known to the extreme outdoor type people.... Lots of Aussies are there too, I think it's some sort of exchange program deal. If I could live there I would :D

See the Whistler-Blackcomb website, http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/ Plenty of MTN biking, hiking, quad riding, moto riding, skiing, boarding, and tons more!!

BTW, there is tons of RC Crawling places all over the Whistler-Blackcomb Mountain area(s)..... just not enough time to get it all in. I'll post up images of a great place to hold a North American RC Crawling Championship Event...... at the top of Whistler Mountain! It's easy access for all too!!

What 1/4 scale servo did you burn up?
I would like to know which one to avoid!

I don't think I burned it up, it has a sweet little heatsink so it does pretty good at staying cool. I think it just got a bad voltage spike from the ESC or something.... after I plugged in the new pack the servo acted like it got a big spike of juice and turned to the left really hard and then died. Zero holding power.

I'm using a Hitec HS-5735MG servo... I've ran lots of battery packs through it since I got it and never a problem untill now.
