WICKED's Creeper

a ckrc stage 2 kit will allow what i have for steering but you have to move the shocks inboard with the lower links to get full non-rub clearance.

I am working on a BTA kit right now which will include what you need to relocate the shocks and links plus the steering links.

without have a ckrc kit in hand i'm still concerned about the drag link hitting the shocks given they are pulled in. their link bows out to get around the axle pumpkin and that is the stretch that it seems to me would hit the shocks. i have a similar issue with my homebrew version. that is why is was hoping to get a few pics. i was hoping to get 3 pics from the top (steering centered, full right, full left) and one from the side looking straight down the link.

i have to admit i'm kind of particular. i want a BTA steering setup were the drag link is low and against the axle, if possible.

thanks. i still have a small amount of hope this will work. otherwise it is a drag link over the shocks/upper links like everyone else for me.

So I had too mate the shop/warehouse for my parents this morning so instead to doing nothing I made a adjustable rear 4 link plate, took the steering protecters of the diffs and fiddle with a few little things and tested it driving around lumps of timber and pallets and crap like that.

Wider arms made a big difference on steep inclines, still squats on flat ground tho. I'm not worried about that but. I also found out that the cralwers has a MASSIVE Epiliptic fit when the controllers battaries are low/near death.

I used the good camera and will post the pics (And ones for Jeb) later tonight. Be kind, I have a VERY Shaky hand! lol

Ben Im looking forward to seeing this,,,,,but wider arms? which "arms" are wider? Are you running the internal springs in your shocks?

Lol sorry... Benglish again
The upper link arms are wider/further apart now on the diff side. Still needs adjusting/changing. I've looked at heaps of pics and read a bit but wanna do my own thing.

Will upload pics soon mate. Keep on eye on the post too dude ;)

Emailed ckrc about the broken axle last week, no reply yet. Surprise surprise :rolling eyes:

Yes, my shocks are standard intervals with heavy outer coils on the rear and softer outer coils on the front.

i appreciate the pics. i think they confirm my concerns about the ckrc BTA kit. if you pulled your shocks inside the lowering link mounting tabs (which i've done to give the tires room to swing in) it looks like the bow in machined drag link that allows it to clear the diff would hit the shocks. looks like the up-and-over drag link is the best option at this time.

Sorry Ben Imissed the fact that plate was the rear plate. Did it help getting the links up and out?

My Creeper is runnin like mad.

Plate looks good bro...always good to see people making parts instead of breakin them.

It's made a big difference that they are out. How does the up help? I could put a spacer under them too get them higher but what does that change?

Look back at the diagram in the Tips thread,,,raising them helps with anti squat,,spreading apart helps with roll center

Read that a few times now "thumbsup"
I get it but mine does'nt seam too "Squat" or "Bog down".
If I try too drive something were that should occur the front "Dives" but the rear stay's were it is....

Edit: Have I done something wrong somewere else too cause this?

Its the stiff springs I had this problem too use the front soft springs in the rear and put the stock spring in the front it will mak a big difference it will also lower cg abit too thats why we can adjust the shock colar. Let me know how it works if you decide to do it.

if Im not mistaken from your pics...it looks like your front upper links are close together on hte front axle plate. If so then thats why it dives. spread them apart but keep them low at the axle.

You are a sneaky man...I got a package of Vegimite in the mail yesterday (Saturday). That stuff is gonna take some getting used too. Wow,,what a flavor. Whats the best way to serve it,,,toast,,something? It really caught me of guard. I now know where the flavor of my B-complex vitamins comes from,,,,they dehydrate Vegimite and pack it into pills,,,lol.

Thanks mate for sending it...Ill do my best to aquire a taste for it. I do wind up liking some stuff that shocks me at first.

The front link's are in the factory mounting spot. I'll put the rear plate on the front an make a wider and hiegher rear plate, if the rear steer will fit with it.

As for the Vegimite "thumbsup"
That stuff is AWESOME!!!!
I have it on Toast, Toast with Vegimite, Dry weet bix is Great too, Jatz crakcer's..... Possiblites are almost endless!!
