Zero's Class 3...

IMAG0341_zpsa3a5a124.jpg

Its ugly, but I put in the firewall and a shelf for the battery. I wanted to put the battery shelf lower, but with the way the ax2 tranny is, it didn't work out. Oh well, the battery is still a tad lower than it was in the plastic wraith.

So I'm trying to use as many of the parts I had collected on my wraith on this build... so while I purposely made the cage slightly wider at the top, the bikini top still mounts fairly well..

Boom, done... need to get it off to buddy to get it blasted. Got all the mounts for the panels, hood, radiator, etc. done. Weighs in at 2lbs 9oz.

Wiring diagram that includes 2 BECs, one to power the front servo and winch, and one to power the rear servo for 4WS. The internal ESC BEC will be used to power the other things such as lights, etc.

nice build, awesome looking chassis. It'll look even better when you have it painted. Good thing you did that wiring diagram cause that's a lot of wires. Keep it up.

good looking build, you should come join us for a GTG. we have some nice trails set up so you could give the rig a good test."thumbsup"

if your interested PM CH for directions.

Oops forgot the 2-speed servo! Since its only 6.4v mini servo, I'm running it off the BEC in the ESC.

Front and rear servo's for the 4WS system are mounted.

Making progress on the electronics.

However now I am now using 3 BECs on rig. Basically when I went to the 2nd position for the 2speed it caused a brown out on the receiver with the MMP (that BEC in it really does seem to be junk). So now I have a BEC to the front, a BEC to the rear, and a BEC to the receiver and with the new heyok relay winch controller the winch runs directly off the battery.

Below is the updated wiring diagram.

Awesome! Gonna give this a shot tonight!

So I had an issue with the heyok relay winch controller. It just was not working. I was tearing my hair out, swearing up and down the four walls (I've got padded walls), etc. Heyok was great, answered lots of emails, and finally I was able to sort it out, hopefully.

The issue was that the heyok relay winch controller was plugged into my receiver, which was being powered by an external BEC set to 7.4v. When switching the receiver back to 7.4v, the winch controller worked as expected. Here's what heyok had to say.

"The electronics in the microcontroller is expecting 6 volts. It usually tolerates a higher voltage. Part of the reasoning for the relay output winch controller is that the receiver side of the electronics bit can run at 6 volts and the output side can run at a higher voltage - hence the dual supply on that controller."
