Default Electric Lawn mower build

I'm finally started my lawn mower build! For all those that don't know, I'm converting my grandfathers petrol Webb lawn mower to electric! I plan to use a MASSIVE rc plane motor.

Here's some starting photos from todays work.

Here's me building a table for the mower, so I don't have to bend over so much.

Here it is! Complete with cobwebs!

I opened the gearbox! Yuck! It's full of muck and oil!

Ahh! That's much better! All clean!

Time to remove the motor! Tadaa!

Here's the motor!

Updates coming soon!

Yup! Some of us have to drive many mile to see crawling areas like that

Used to have a mower just like that a while ago. Slow but made for neat work. Look forward to seeing your finished results

Well, the project is finally "over"! The project is complete and I'll be posting photos later today! Even though it's "done", I still plan on taking the mower entirely apart, re-painting, cleaning, re-greasing, ect.

Thanks for the support guys!

Soldered everything together.

Got the converter custom machined

Bought some steel and had it bent.

Drilled the mounting holes

Started mounting

DONE!

Could just run it in reverse and be a snow blower.

10s, yes. Killing people, no. I won't let it. I've trained it well.

In theory, yes, but it don't really snow here, and I don't want it to rust.
