| Day to day with a TF2 Hilux...
When it began... Had a great time building this up. HH BRXL and 35T HH Handwound, the rest is stock... I began building up some armor to replace the stock plastic stuff. Mockup before I welded the mounts... was trolling around Allpro's site and feared I may have to build a full rear cage/rack But no roof tent ;) |

First iteration of a front bumper... The rear done and mounted...just awaiting finishing and paint in this pic. Wanted a bit more height without a body lift so I set myself up with these. Made from scrap amsteele, they'll never bend or rust. They're .25" longer than stock so I should see about 1/8" of lift and a better pinion angle out back and in front. Wasn't feeling the first front bumper I made. I liked the whole thing, but not on this rig. Went with the less is more deal. I honestly hate building bumpers. If I had the $ I'd just order perfection from GCM. I'd much rather have spent my night {at work} fabbing up the allpro rack. This bumper has been in and out of my tool box for over a year. a few minor tweaks and I'm happy with the mounting and the fitup. Had to cut some of the grille out but hey, I've had to do that on soooo many 1:1's when fitting my 8274's. As soon as I got home, I migged up some caps for the sides. Iwill get some pics of it primed, painted and mounted up in the AM. This is perfect as it's super low profile and still gives the front the protection. I just hated the stock plastic bumper up front as it was way low and gonky. Running without it though gave me a case of the hives from stressing about smacking the chrome bumper and fenders. Problem solved. Also installed a set of the Chino Military Wrap leaf packs |

Had cut and bent all the tubing for the All-Pro style bed cages...just hadn't got around to building them (one for Josh's green TF2) Finally started melting metal the other night. The wood is an old wine box I flipped over. I measured and drew out an exact copy of the TF2's bed on the wood and drilled holes where the cage would mount. Once I placed the main stays in the jig, I slid a piece of aluminum under to maintain uniform height from the top of the stay to the box to minimize height variation. got both welded up. I'll be trimming the bottom of the stays to an even length and then filling and priming them up The Paint will be after I used some solid rod to bend up any racks, lightbars etc and get them welded on. Sneak Peek of some new fun coming... Short youtube vid |

Cool pic. Like the jig idea for rear cage, so the camper shell was temporary, until the rack shows up? |

then I stumbled upon the All-Pro one and dug it I still may just go with a classic Roll-Bar style setup like this. Maybe tie it into the in cab cage | |

You can have both, the cage and roll bar, just make them removable. That way you can choose, depending on the distance of your trail run. |
