Couple other stuff to tackle also... Built the sliders awhile back... Went a different route since its a class one rig.

Next kaos got some new shoes... Eddies from crawler innovations did a giveaway.. 1.55 pit bull growlers and dual stage foams.. I won the giveaway so i to at least try them out on this build..
I will have the tire coverage to be legal.. Since I stretched them on to 1.9 omfs I was now hitting my knuckles so I did a little shaving!!

While at shaving that I also shave the rear shock hoops also

Be care aluminum transfers heat really well and sneaks up on you!!

Man another long day working on this thing today and tonight...

Started with cutting out the original bed..
Some wasted time cleaning it all up...

Here is the bottom of the bed

Next was back of the bed. Had to notch around where the simulated hand/attachment rail is.
Then it was the side portions of the bed..
Look dad I can cut rectangles!! ..
they are the drop downs by the hand rails..

Then back to cutting more of those damm rectangles.. Ha ha
Witch ended up being the top of the tool boxes..
The main part of the drop bed is done.. Still got some clean up to do and a bunch more detail!!

Thanks again dev for all your help tonight and letting me bounce ideas off your head..

Got a couple hours to work on it tonight while a was waiting for my xds to come..

Still working on the drop bed and started with doing diamond plate styrene on top of the tool boxes..

Put quarter round on top to give it more contour..

Then to the lower part of the drop bed I put strip down and filed the end by the tail gate to look like a factory bed..

I decided to start working on the functional tail gate after that.. Never done one so I just tried something that popped into my head..

In order for the tailgate to fold down I had to cut out for the gas tank..

Then proceeded to use styrene tub and cut a chunk out of it to snap on to the other piece...

To get the right height with the tailgate I had to shim under the drop bed for the cross bar.

Put the cross bar on the tail gate them welded it to the drop bed and side of the body.

Finished and now need to let it cure..

Got to work on this some more... After fartting around with the tailgate and tail light and building the tail gate twice I finally figured something out to work..

Had to put a slant in the tail gate bcuz of the taillights

Then put a piece of v groove styrene for the tail gate when its dropped.. Put some earth magnets on the back for the tail gate to stay up...

Then started to work on the bed rack for the snowboards.. Tundra normally has them on the roof but I decided to put them in the bed to keep in out of the way.. Used some bungies to hold them down..

Still got to put the bindings on them and some fuel tube on the rack to really hold them in place...

Working on the head ache rack...

Anybody know what the smallest solid rod brass is out there?
I have 3/32 but it just a little to big for the rectangle stock I am using

Great job on the tail gate Marcus and I'm liking the snowboards and rack in the bed much better then the roof, good call.

Now I'm feeling motivated, time to start an interior for the Pacer.
