Ah! Ok, I thought they were all normal screws. It's not as bad being that they are faux screws. I also like the simplicity of the hub offsets too; It seems like there can be a ton of offset options with that design.
You know, I didn't even weigh the wheels. I always weigh the wheels! I'll get a weight on them the next time I take them apart.

The hub needs to be 2mm longer than what I have now. I am using a couple spacers for the time being.

It's all good! I'll be looking forward to the weight difference (if there is any). I'm sure they would look good with some of Locked Up RC's scale hardware, too.

I'll have to shout at Jens to see if he will be producing any SLW wheels.

I may go for the LockedUp or RC4WD hardware in the future.

Reworked the front servo/4-link plate. This is for the mini servo. A standard servo would get pretty tight. Not sure if a mini servo can handle the steering duties though.

Anyone used a mini steering servo on a lightweight scaler?

WAYYY back when I had a mini e-Revo, I used a powerful Hitec mini servo. If it could handle one of those little things on 6s, I'm sure it can handle your pebble pounder.

Thanks. I said micro but meant mini. Been looking around. JR makes one with a whopping 86oz of torque! I'll keep searching around for options. I really don't want to hassle with cramming a regular sized servo in there. I do not want a chassis mounted servo either, as it will cause issues with the front 4-link plate and suspension travel.

Oh, whoops! The "mini" totally went over my head.

86oz of torque is A LOT for a mini servo. Thats incredible! Check out the Solar and Blue Bird servos. I'm sure they have to offer something that comes close to the JR servo.

I totally agree with keeping the servo on the axle. there just isn't enough room there to make the 4 link work or 3 link with panhard.

Not sure where you got the body from, but that red samurai was orignially built by Chip Cross. I bought it from him years ago and sold it on a 1:1 suzuki forum.

Funny how things make full circles. Looks awesome, keep it up!

I know mounting the servo on the axle is the easy way out but that's what I'm doing for this build. I could spend hours fighting the chassis mounted servo but nah.

I am striving to have the suspension in top working order though. I'll need all the performance I can squeeze out of it on this little rig.

I got it from Eddie Vedder. That's pretty cool if it was Chip's. It is in great condition as well. I plan on having a 2D interior. Dinky just released a new universal interior so I may try that.

Does JC Auto Designs have a website? I did a quick google search but didn't see anything. I am curious what 3D printer he is using or if its a custom build one. I have just about everything I need to build one but just gotta get off my butt and make it happen.

Wow, I'm loving the look of your Sami. I think I'll have to get some MTZ's and lower the rde heigh on my Sami. I have a 1/10 servo chassis mounted and the bump steering is really bad, gonna go axle mount as well.

Maybe I should make a thread as I finish mine.

Thanks. This rig doesnt have to be done for a couple months so it's on the shelf for now, as I am back on the 8x8 build over in the mulitaxle section. I did pick up a Delrin grill from PinchFlat for the sami body though.

Thanks. I still need a few parts for it and shelving it will give me some time to get them acquired.

Thanks. This build will pick up some steam in the next month or so. I am still working on the huge 8x8 rig over in the mulitaxle
Section.

I did get in a like new Mamba Micro Pro for this rig today.

Thanks. I am not really a "scale" builder, so just don't stare in one spot too long.
