Really cool truck! My first real toy truck was a Blackfoot that I hated as much as I loved. I kept blowing axles or diff parts. My mom had a 88 F150 when I first started driving. Toughest truck alive! Lol. Anyway your truck is awesome and I'm excited to see where this goes.

Thank you. I always wanted an original Blackfoot but so far have not been able to get one.

Little more finished.

Since most older sun roofs have a black trim ring around the glass I went ahead and did this to Trudy's sun roof.

The interior is finished up and test fitted into the cab.

Still need to prime the driver but the interior is ready for paint. I know it is not uber detailed but I still feel it will look great through the tinted glass.

I have decided to keep the interior old school and paint it a dark red (or carmine as they called it back then).

Next up I hope to present you with some painted interior/driver pics.
Thanks for looking,
Prime

Sorry it has been awhile since an update. Been busy with some other projects.

Interior and driver are now painted. For the interior I painted it black and then put the red over it to keep it darkish. The driver, we will call him Hank, is painted and detailed up. I spent a bit more time on him since he is the focal point of the interior. Also to hide the battery hump I painted it up like a cooler.

Interior shot.

Close up of Hank.

The interior as seen through the tinted glass.

Thanks for looking. More to come in the near future.

Well I got around to doing a little more with Trudy. Glass is permanently mounted but there was a accident. While I was screwing in the glass the screws in the front were a tad long and ended up piercing the cowl. I was pretty bummed, thought I was going to have to repair the cowl and repaint the cab. Then I had a thought! My 1:1 Blazer has lights mounted on the cowl! Maybe I can do something like that here. I mounted a set of HPI Savage bumper lights with new lens decals to the cowl. The glued on a pair of Axial light covers. Pretty happy with the result to be honest! Maybe when the day comes for a repaint I will fix the cowl holes then, or maybe not. Also added a set of Axial mirrors and wiper blades.

Next up is to make a rear bumper mount.
Thanks for looking.

Thank you. Sadly Trudy has come to a stand still and is on the back burner. I have been getting my Deadbolt ready for the summer season and have caught the RC drifting bug. I will return to Trudy and finish her up someday, hopefully that someday will be soon.

Thanks for bringing up this thread hillbilly! I'm building an old ford too, and i approve of this build and give it the "EFF YEAH" seal of approval ;)
i had (have?) an original blackfoot, and it might still be in my mom's basement somewhere...

nice work on this! its too bad a lot of the pics were effected by bucketgate. really love the overall feel of this truck, and its exactly what I'm going after with mine. "camping on Sunday, drive it to work on Monday" kind of truck.
