What’s the final width hub to hub on the front? What output shaft did you use? I’ve got some pics saved now for later.

Using the stock MRC hex, it's 149.5mm the, to hex. The Yeti Jr axle with narrow hexes is 145.5mm. With the wide ones its juast under 155mm. I used GPM swing shafts for the Losi Mini-t.

That'll be hardly noticeable. Those GPMs looked a lot beefier than the Losi offerings.

Never saw the Losi ones. I went by the measurement on one of the eBay ads I saw, figured I'd try it. One thing bugging me is the amount of play in the Ti uni. The steel one is much tighter, can't say which will be stronger, probably neither. Lol Rime will tell, I might have to make something for it later, we'll see.

Can this rear axle with mods be used on the front of a yeti jr.? If so I may be interested in figuring a way to mount one on my yeti jr..

I don’t see why not. There’s a SASed Twin Hammers running around somewhere.

These yeti jr. axles- are they using the ar44 ring and pinions or are they completely specific to these axles?

They use a different gear set. Smaller and no pinion stub, uses a dogbone. The stock axle ratio is 2.33.

Thanks for the replies. Got some ideas spinning around in my head. Chino63 I will hopefully be able to get with you in about a month for an axle.
Again thanks for the replies

@chino63,

Is that a mini transfer case or you just cut the side tabs off of a 1:10 TCase?

I love Blackfoot bodied builds, I did one on and MST chassis and it’s been a great rig.

Looks like a gcm unit but I've been wrong before

Yes it's a GCM transfer case. I've decided not to go this route due to fitment issues with the trans mounted elsewhere. Traditional trans mounted on skid for now.

Thanks, had a Blackfoot extreme body too but sold it to a friend. Kinda wish I had kept it but at least it will get used now.

Not too much more progress today. I spent a lot of time trying a few different locations for the battery and a few different sizes. After weighing the rig and checking the weight bias, i kept it simple and stuck it between tbe fromt frame rails as low as possible. So far, the frame weighs in at 6oz. Two more crossmembers, 4 shock mounts and it's done.

After looking up the GCM it looks like what I got from fleaBay to try in my d90 project. What tranny are you gonna pair with the YJr axles to make it a crawler?

Unfortunately, the GCM t-case got copied. It's a great little unit that fits in tight spaces. As fror the trans, ill be usi g a Losi MRC transmission. The little 380 motors are happiest in front of alot of gear reduction. I used this same setup in an earlier build with great results.

This is gonna be sweet, I just picked up an extended cab black foot body and these ideas are great inspiration!

Got going on this again. Made some body mounts for this little guy.

Chassis and body test fitted and... check. All good!

Went back to a traditional trans setup due to space constraints and installed a pair of SDI driveshafts for better scale appearance.
