To be different to the other couple of crew cabs, have you thought of bobbing the bed?

Thought about it but I actually like scraping the end of the bed, lol...

too impatient. ran it today, lol.

also mounted the reduced hammers for some poser shots.

I prefer the XL's.

thanks guys.

short vid from today's test run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmHbZs6Ee1A

still need a few things on the body obviously (rear door glass, grill, bumpers, graphics, etc) and the ride is bouncy so tires need foams and weight but ran pretty good. the 35t motor and 18t pinion give it a bit too much pep for me but my son likes it that way...

pretty happy overall.

Thats a swweet orange red colour really looks good sets the toyota off really well.
But and dont shoot the messenger but with all the work on the bodywork doesn't the rig deserve some nicer wheels?
I'm not feeling the rims on this badboy.

thanks guys.

Dready-I hear ya. I have these planned, just like on the ford. the wheels on it now are just parts-bin spares I had around. They fit perfectly the look of the Range Rover they were intended for but I agree they suck on this toyota. I'm just waiting for a few brat wheel parts that I'm missing to make a set of 4 of those. [I plan to run reduced trail doc XL's on white brat wheels like these, but will also have a second set of tires/wheels for when my son drives it. its really his truck and he likes the monster truck looking wider hammers. I'll mount those reduced/narrowed hammers on white stock car wheels. since I had the ford and the hilux together I pulled the brat wheels off the ford and tried them on the hilux. perfect look! ]

got the spare mounted up too.

went out with my son today and he loved it. helps that I reconfigured the suspension so that it works much better-more compliant, no more rollovers (at least not as easily as before).

Looking good nice to see the detail coming along on the build.

haha, yeah it needs tons of help. the plan isnt 1128. its actually another project. the drawing is the existing house before I do anything to it. just started that renovation. 1128 binder just happens to be out since I'm doing some bid analysis at the moment.

paint is still wet in that pic and my sandwhich is just out of shot, lol...

thanks.

Let me know if you ever need a kitchen designer I think I could find one or two....

Oh here's the latest of the Bobber

And of course you know who......

I might have to re-do the Brat. It had a long day during the Follow the leader after the Comp was over.....
