Awesome jeep and awesome pics! How are those rod ends holding up? I hear mixed reviews on how long they last. I guess due to them being all steel?? They seem to wear pretty quick... I love the look of them though and think it would be worth it! Their the ones from rc4wd correct? |

I got the chance to buy this one back so i decided to go for it, i have always missed this one since i sold it, it drove soo nice and i really liked the look of the whole rig. I bought it as a roller as the original body was cut up, it will be replaced with a new one, i will also do some work on the suspension to get it smoother, inner fenderwalls, figure out a new servo location and do an overall cleanup. Cant wait to get it back in my hands! |

Looking forward to seeing you re-work this one. How bad was the other body cut up. Will you be spraying the second body the same color as the first one or will it be a different color? Oh one more thing, do you want to trade it for one of your other long lost builds( jk) |

It wasnt to bad, front and rear fenders was cut off, i want to have fenders but i will go flatfenders on the new one i think so i can fit lox:s. It will be pretty much the same red, i will use the Tamiya bright mica red this time. As for the trade, i have to say NOO! On a side note, he shipped it yesterday so its on the way! | |

Today i got the chassis back, it was pretty used and not taken care of imo, every screw was rusted, t-case was all rusty inside, axles all rusted inside. I used 4 old bearings in both t-case and axles, the rest all rusted and not running smooth, it was pretty bad overall. Now i have taked it all apart cleaned it up, changed bearings, greased up where needed and put all hardware in WD-40 over the night. I figured he must have driven it in saltwater and not washing it of after becuse there was salt pretty much everywhere, one more reason to clean everything up! But got my CAC Soft 8:s with internal beadlock back!! WOOHHA! Dont see them around to often nowdays! Good looking wheel! Here is some pics of what i thought was bad/strange/funny/etc... 3 different driveshafts. Fire crackers! He used them as reserviors. Notice, left wheel mounted rightm right not holes centerd and bead is out at bottom. Motor was in bad shape, was not running smooth at all. ops.. better |

Aww man, that's sad that he didn't take of things. At least your breathing new life into it.
