LOL- Yeah, I saw how Chip got scolded about that.. I WILL be keeping the "Old School" wheels it came with, I just personally think the beadlocks look better ( for now anyways)

I dig the wheels, I like my originals too but those look good too. Just don't kill it ok. Thanks.

Oh, there is about 60 hours in the body before primer and paint.

Hey Jeff, yeah I've got some patchwork to do, but its not all that bad. I am also MOST Impressed with your transmission work, that is one of the other AWESOME features that makes this truck that much more unique..!! Man this things SICK..!!

Hey Chris

I was just thinking of something that would really look cool on this truck....... back from my "younger" days.

Remember those "old school" Slots ?

Seems like I remember a set selling either on here or on Scale4x4rc within the last week or two because I'm kind of looking for a set myself and I was too late on them.

I think those would look AMAZING on this truck as well and they'd be kinda "resto rod"/"old school off-road" correct since they were available and used ALOT in the 1960's, 70's and the 80's on tons of the older off-road trucks.

I like the beadlocks that you put on it too.....but I think that some good ol' slots would be killer on that truck.

the Landies would be perfect for this rig, it even has the correct 5 lug pattern!

I have an idea about the fender wells. Try painting the inner part of the fender wells flat black, I think it would make the white outer stand out a bit better. The body colored inner fender wells make it looks like the body goes down past the frame. I hope that makes sense, it's hard to make my fingers type the thoughts correctly.

Honestly Dude- I was already thinking the same thing.. but before i actually do it, I'm just trying to visualize how it will look, because once its done, its DONE, and I can't go back.. I will dig around and find some pics of real 1:1 Willys trucks, and come up with something..

LOL- Chip actually HAD that EXACT set of rims already on this truck, and to be honest, they didn't really impress me all that much ( along with seemingly EVERYONE else that commented on these pics...) Here it is below..

Yeah, I agree - those DO look like cool wheels. But I can visualize what they'd look like on the truck, and I don't think they'd "make" the truck..

Might sound weird to some, but IMO - RIMS "Make or Break" a vehicle.. You could have the Baddest, Sickest scaler on the planet, and if you throw on a set of "blah" wheels on it, it just dosen't look right, And on the opposite side of the coin, you could have a beat-up junker, piece of crap, and put a SICK set of wheels on it, and that ride just became totally BAD-ASS..!!! I have quite the collection of wheels and tires to try out, and so far, I honestly like the looks of the Truescale rims the best.. ( SO far that is.. )

Man, this rig is amazing. The rims are a little new aged for it, but they make it look like it's ready to tackle the rocks. I like it the way it is. But I can't wait to see what you do with it.

If you can get me some good straight on pics of different rims you like I can photoshop them on to the truck. Then you will know about what they look like on it. ;)
