Love it except for the trac bars, I am just not feeling them. I think it would be cool if you brazed up some old school ones http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3D2%26hl%3Den |

| Front and back shackle angles. Could be your leafs (are they hilifts?) or the mounting points. The shackles are angled the wrong way. Rears look like they will fold the wrong direction easy. And I'm with1bjb on the traction bars but you need shackles at the frame mount points straight6 up and down as possible. It will still allow flex but wont allow axle wrap. You can look at the one on the front of my truggy to see what I'm talking about. Any othe questions let me know Nat.

Iwill end up makin a traction bar thats more like in the pic, I guess I was just bein lazy lol. Im usin hi lift leafs, I have a pair of juggy springs I might throw on the front but I think they might be too long. Still playin around with it. Jeff if you can send me some pics from the front of yours if you can. Nat

Nat, Typically on real 1:1 trucks you want a 20* shackle angle

Im using Icing, I think its made by USC? really lightweight and easy to sand. Just make sure that you prep the surface properly, I use 80 grit to rough it up. the down side is that it can get kinda dusty, but its worth it! just got my tenax in the mail today so more updates to follow.

Here's a pic of the front setup on the mounty Nat. You could do it on both sides in the rear. |

Thanks for the pic Jeff! I still have some suspension work to do so itll help! I got some work on the chassis done, Steering servo is in, Finished up the crossbracing, skid plate and battery location. Also whipped up a fuel cell to hide my esc and reciever. Started on the interior as well and whipped up the start of a dashboard this evening and got the placement of the seats. Still have door panels to do, finish the dash and center console. Not bad for an evenings worth of work! |

Killer work on the dash, this build keeps getting better and better. I bet you smile when you tell people that it's a clod body. I wouldn't believe it I didn't see the build thread.

I know its been said before, but its very refreshing to see something other than the typical chevys, jeeps, and yotas, and your doing one hell of a job at it..! Subscribed for sure..! |
