Awesome news on the job Brian! That's ok though... Instead of scale nats I'm heading to Moab. You'll just have to plan a trip up north here for a weekend and camp and crawl.

Dibs when you decide to sell it, too
Thanks buddy!

Thanks James, I'm super stoked!

A trip to Moab is on the before I die trip planner, but I wont go without something to wheel.

It's in the plans. I want to at least get up there and do a scale comp or fun run in the near future. We'll have to see how the new work schedule goes, I have a feeling I wont be getting many weekends off.

Just doing some light wheeling with the 1:1 in Moab, but am going to take the Cheropile with.

The weather was beautiful today! Need to make it up soon before it's too hot.

Considering how nice the 1st scaler I bought from you was, the asking price would be worth it

Ive got the same LR3 body, same scx chassis, wheels and tyres, and dont find it very stable at all. Is it the mystic foams that you;re running that help the handling?

Not sure it's the foams, shocks or the fact that I switched my pin mounts over to the hex adaptors which gave it more width, well that and I am using AX10 hexes with the shoulder shaved down because they are wider then the SCX10 hexes.

The foams have definitely eliminated a lot of the side roll of the tires which can't hurt.

Thanks . I guess that must be it with the wider track thats helping with the stabity. I mite have to get some hexe adapters.

Default -->update<--

So, bmuzz1 gave me a great deal on this rig - excellent guy to do business with! I've done a few little things to the truck, but nothing too game changing. I'm mostly having fun wheeling the hell out of it.

Stuff I've done:
-Added MIP Drive Shafts
-Tekin RS & 21.5 or 13.5 (Stolen from the WBPajero)
-Futaba 4PL

It will eventually have some super 300's (if they ever come in stock again) and the matching straight axles for the rear along with a gcm transfer case.

I also had a castle BEC in it for the lights and servo and winch, but it died before I really got to run the rig at all. I've been doing some reading and it seems like a pretty common issue that a lot of folks have been having. I'm now on the hunt for another solution as I'm not going to buy the same thing only to have it fail again.

I ran a Novak servo regulator (rated at 8.4v) for a few packs and it functions fine, but it gets up to around 180f~190f and I'd rather not have a nuclear meltdown under the hood when it pops (both the lipo and receiver are in close proximity). So for now I'm running exclusively off the Tekin's BEC which works well, although I do have some cutting out problems with the lights on (as to be expected).

Anyway, I'm in Florida at the moment. Took the opportunity to do some beach running!

The lights work well.

So we've been having a blast 'crabbing' since we got here, just catching these little 3-4" crabs and releasing them. It occurred to use tonight to use the rover to heard the crabs towards us. It totally worked! They ran long before they where in danger of getting nailed by the rover right into our nets.

The only real problem with a fully detailed interior and no windows!
