You are right, those tires look great there but the pitbulls will look and I think, perform better.

Nice rig. Did you have any trouble mounting the Pit Bulls on the Stamped RC4WD wheels? I have the older version and they wont mount up... I know you can use pvc pipe to make it hold, just wondering if the newer wheels mount right up? Thanks

They are a pain but they will go on there with a little patience. I put the tires in the freezer for about 20 mins before mounting them. This will make the rubber a little stiffer which will help mounting them.

One more update before I finish it up and send it home! As it sits right now, it weighs in at 3.8lbs! I think it should end up is the 5lb. range when Hugo gets it all done. Pretty light!

Default Feel very honoured

I just had to post up here and tell you guys, that I feel very VERY honoured to have a rig I built be recreated as a scale replica (correct lingo?).

With comments like "the tubing is simple and yet intricate", I feel like you guys - Hugo and others - are, by deconstructing the rig via my built thread, really getting to the soul of what my original vision was. I guess you guys, as replica builders, really understand that simple in execution is in truth utterly complex in design...

I'm really at a loss for words, especially seeing the tube work turning out so true to the actual 1:1 rig. It's utterly fantastic so far.

Keep it up guys, I'll be watching

Glad you liked it Corey, I will do my best to make you proud! Shon (welder) already killed it with his tube work but that is his standard! Stay tuned, more to come!

Thanks Corey! The honor is all mine, and it has been a privilege to be able to do this build for Hugo! By far one of my favorites to date. Two words I would use to describe the 1:1 would be simple, beautiful. The more I study it the more little details I discover. Stellar job!

Thank you! Wheel base is at 11.75" ish. Might see what it looks like at 12" or so.

My favorite part is the amount of mental energy that goes into building a scaler. You can call them toys, but to get results like this, you have to be a true craftsman. Very nice job. Send it home!
