Thanks . I was suprised that the flashlights were a perfect fit and price. $1.99 each and it comes with a spare bulb.

Thanks Matt, I'm gonna do my best to see if I can make it happen. I haven't been out to the farm in a long while and would love to come hang out again.

I decided that my new grill needed some protection after I took it out on some big rocks & busted the grill out of it after 5 good smacks.

So here is what I started, sorry didn't take too many progress pics.

Here it is mocked up......

Got it mostly done & painted. Still gotta get a winch & fab up my mounting plate for the winch.

Lemme know whatcha think.

Are you using 3/16 or 1/4 tube for the bumper?

Don't feel bad, I have made many many bumpers and sliders that I didn't like and ended up re-doing. That's part of the fun, practice makes perfect.

I haven't touched this thing in a couple months & decided to pull it out & play with it for a while .........

While cleaning out the shed the other day, I found a piece of sheet metal I forgot I had. The Rust Bucket was sittin on my table & needed a real rear bumper. I cut a small piece off the sheet metal, put a few rough bends in it to see what it would look like.

Not too bad....... A lil bit more trimming & fitting, squared off the bends a little more and brzed it together at the seams.
Too tall for my taste, so decided to shorten it up a bit.......

Add a coat of primer, and a couple coats of flat black... Let dry & mount it up......

It's a lil bit off level with the body, but level with the chassis. I'm good with it...... adds to the beat up rusted out piece o' chit look.

After making the rear bumper, I am seriously considering making a new front bumper for it. Something along the lines of a good redneck home-made road armor style.

Any suggestions?

Did a lil tradin & finally got a transfer case.....

Started stripping it all down & moved the tranny up front.....

Decided to go ahead & move the lower links inside the chassis & get the axles & links mounted up

Made a skid for the transfer case & got it mounted up.....

Decided to go ahead & bolt up the wheels for shits & giggles, just to see how much more flex I got now. It is alot better than what it was.

I figured I would try out the new Hi-Tec 646WaterProof servo. Specs are about the same as a 645 but it's waterproof & has more torque than the traxxas 2075.

Figured while the body was off I would finish up my tail lights. Started with some red led's from radio shack & housings made of aluminum......

$hitty part is..... I got everything wired up & hooked up to the headlights...... plugged the battery in & POP..... Headlights flashed bright for about 1 second and that was it. I guess thats what happens when ya try to run cheap Harbor Freight bulbs on more than 3v. Looks like back to Radio Shack for 2 new led's.

Still got a ways to go, but it's a work in progress.....

Went to radio shack & got some new headlights. They didn't have any 3mm led's rated for 12volts so I got some rated for 6volts..... A little dim, but it fits in with the rusted oll pile of junk look........

Got em all wired up & runnin off an old rx pack out of one of my old nitro's.
