Yeah, something like those servo mounts is exactly what I was thinking of.

I sold my jefferson chassied jeep to buy a David Diaz chassis for the high lift.

I just had a tranny, no axles so it has TLT axles but they mount the same so... I also made 2 anti wrap or torque bars for the rear axle. Hopefully tomorrow I will get the sift sevo, and driveshafts on for a test run.

What I did since the frame rails are not channeled is trim about 5mm off both sides of the tranny, and cross brace. I also made a few (more to come) out of aluminum round tock.

By narowing the tranny th frame is same as stock width so I drilled and tapped for 3mm studs to mount the electronics tray. Then did the same for the steering servo mount, and bellcrank (not shown yet) I have since finished steering and used a "Z" link bar from bellcrank to knuckle.

Enough of my squaking, pics so far...

Drove it a bit this morning while waiting for my glue gun and soldering iron to heat for lights. I'm very satisfied so far.

Here is a little plastic slider I (will paint black) I made up to keep the shift rod from turning. Works very well, shifts perfect.

I moved the shocks to the back of the axle, reversed the knuckles and set up a good strong link system. I also now get full turning, nothing in the way!

It looks like it sits higher now, I may have to mount up some 2.2's to compensate...

Yeah, it fits perfectly, I just had to cut out a little more of the floor of the bed to clear the second shock mount you added. It's also shorter than the stock bed, so in order to allow it to open, I also removed the last 1/2" or so of the rails. It looks awesome, thanks for a killer chassis!

If I can ever find a spot to mount a shifter servo, I'll be able to run it again! I can't wait to see how the Titan motor runs in it.

It runs again!

This chassis ROCKS. I was able to make full power hard corners on pavement without rolling over, I love it.

It's getting 2.2's though, so I may as well kiss the decent center of gravity goodbye, but that's fine with me.

Here it is, done and test run was perfect.

Truck is fully bearinged, has futaba metal gear steering servo, futaba shift, Traxxas TQ3 radio and Tamiya TEU-302BK esc (step up from the 01 model)

The body looks nice now, some cleanup, and coat of FUTURE floor protectant/wax

mounted using 1 set of existing frame holes

It is an old clod hex 4 link bar cut to fit between the frame rails.

Then threaded at the ends. On the other end just a plastic tamiya servo mount block I drilled into the frame to mount

see pics above, or these larger version pics

I think I found another answer. I am using a micro servo so I don't need that much room. I was looking at it and noticed that the deal at the end of the shifting rod (that holds the ball for moving the rod in and out) can also be mount to the rear of the trans, where I have enough room for the servo and linkage.

yes, it can and a couple others have done this sucessfully.

I didn't have to as I mounted the bell crank, and semi stock appearing steering servo mount location.

I plan on going to Imex redrocks or swampers and actually dropping it 1/4 inch if I keep it.

When I'm able to get working on mine I'll leave the suspension as is but raise the tranny. I like the traction bars you got too. I'll see if I can mount mine to the frame where the 4 link would go.
I see you don't have the shocks on, is that how you're going to run it?
