Thanks for the praise Your last statement However isn't true. This roof has been a B%$tard Fj's are hard on all levels there's too many flats and curves that all have to line up perfectly. So 8 Hours later i'm there. Decided to start from scratch that way I know it'll be right. 2 Main Flat Pieces in and the Back Sides glued at the top Next the Curved Back Section Then the Front Corners Back Corners are harder as they have to curve 2 ways this is how I do it in layers Splash of Grey to see whats what and a Small amount of Green to fill the joins. Most of that got sanded away to leave a roof with 99.9% Material as oposed to a Bondo Mess. Coat of Black to check for up's and downs and it's good to go with the top coat. Finally Final Top Coat Soon..... Last edited by Dready; 07-27-2013 at 03:25 PM.

Sorted Finally. The Roof is Painted Toyota Lucerne Silver to contrast with the Gun Metal. I'm happy with it now Just the Lacquer but I'll do that all in one go with the rest of the parts. |

That's some really amazing work! I really figured that you built all of your roofs with solid pieces and just sanded down the corners. Last edited by Highmark; 07-27-2013 at 03:03 PM. |

Only the Corners are solid in this as I hopefully showed in the Pictures. I hate sanding down massive blocks. If you think about what's what you can save yourself alot of time and material. Also all that weight high up's a no no in my eyes. Thinking about it I don't think that I have ever built a solid roof??

I'd give ya a couple cold ones for your hard day of work you've done. But the trip would be too long. Thumbs up on your dedication.

Last progress shots for a while I have a few other comitments coming up Outside Shiny Shiny Straight Straight. Some of the parts that are all removeable. Bed, Wings Internal Cage attached Sitting with Trepadors underneath it The External Width on these Mock Ups is 220mm which puts most of the Tyre Under the Arches I haven't Lacquered it yet, and am kind of feeling the Not Too Shiny Look... more than a Glitzed up Truck. Any thoughts Davis? |

What do I think, I'm dumb founded! I'd say leave it cause if any scratches do occur. A quick fix can be done to it. Just make sure I get a copy of the paint code.... Lol! just amazing how this looks. |

Back on this going to try and get it wrapped up by the end of August. Had a pretty serious issue with the Hood. Once assembled because of the extra width of the paint when I tried to open it I snapped of a Hinge so only one thing for it. Aloominum ones where the order of the day. They are actually mounted from the inside through small slots so aren't going to pull out any time soon. It did mean I had to repaint the hood but hey ho. Sorted so lets go inside now. Thanks to someone who shall remain nameless because we don't talk anymore I tried my hand at the Seats. Materials sourced from Ebay Uk and within 30 minutes had a Drivers Seat. Its Black with purple not pink!! Bolsters. I have the belts to make yet. I used Styrene instead of Aloominum and it works fine. Added a small piece at the bottom to raise it up to clear the transmission and also keep the bend. Painted the back Satin black and the lower frame metallic grey. Inside the Truck once the belts are on I reckon they will look the Business. Will make a back bench to match the fronts. Davis I promise you there light Purple, my camera plays tricks with that colour. |

Amazing work Dready! I'm loving all of the removable parts - it should make it really easy to completely change the look and feel of the rig.
