Default F-350 ext cab dually build

OK after about 2 weeks and 12 hrs last night of research on duallys I've decided to pull the trigger on a dually build I'm going into this not really expecting "bulldog dually" but a dually it will be lol.. it will be built from scratch now I didn't find much on building the fenders so I'm gonna make a form out of floral foam and cover it in fiberglass resin and I also picked up a set of the first generation double trouble wheels which is awesome because they are more to scale with the style that this truck had I'm still debating on making it a long bed and also haven't decided on a color so any input would be appreciated and should I run stacks or under the body exhaust

I'm only going to be honest because we won't be helping you if we don't. That body, although it's a ford is only going to cause you trouble. It's small, it's totally not proportional, and no matter what you do with the chassis, I think the build will be off. tamiya bodies aren't that expensive. I'd certainly use those instead. Only trying to help!

Ok build is on hold at the moment... I should of listened to bull dog last night ..so I'm going to do it now I'm going to step back get my ducks in a row and hit this build wide open no half a$$ dually.. I'm going to go all out crew cab and all..if I can build mini trucks and hotrods in real life I can dern sure do it in rc.. you don't just start hacking away at a 56 Chevy without research and experience .so at the moment im going to order the right body and do this right cause at the moment the only thing that's going to look good on this build is the wheels lol..

Tamiya Hi Lift F-350 Body Front and Rear

Take your time and do it right. The scale world is a hell of a lot easier than the real world. And at 23 bucks x2, you can afford to mess it up. But...treat the build like it's a damn classic mustang.

Got my wheels in today I'm going to a friends house to get the tires and I got my ESC yesterday so slowly but surely it's coming together my bed will be here Monday and then I can start on the body and fenders.. I wanna go ahead and rebuild the chassis but I think I'm gonna need the full body done for wheel base measurements so I'm gonna wait on that and probly just build some bumpers and exhaust not sure if I wanna run stacks or not though and does anyone know what size the bolts are to pit the wheels together these didn't come with any

You can try contacting rc4wd about the screws. I"m pretty sure they are 2.5mms. I think that's what I did on mine. I also had to use spacers between the wheels, once they were clamped together my tires wouldn't get close to mounting. You might be able to get away with it on the flatirons though.

I contacted them earlier this week no word yet and I got the rear tires mounted almost thought I would need a spacer also but I squeezed them together and they look ok there's no space in between them though

Here is one I built with the Tamiya F350 bodies and mounted it on a Tamiya CC-01 chassis. F350 Dually on Tamiya XC Chassis - Page 2 - Scale 4x4 R/C Forums
