Default My Matzilla Montero

Ok, so I know its been done before....but I want one too! I reached out to the guy who did the earliest one that I could find (Pantablo) and he had no quams about me doing one. Anyhow - here we go, Im doing this to fill my class 2 slot and I figure once I get this going I will be able to revisit my class1 and rework it. Anyhow enough talk, pics!

Great work Don! Any idea of what drivetrain or chassis you'll be using?

Thanks a lot fellas! Well its looking like this will be a Matzilla frame with exo cage!!! I am pretty pumped about that! I think I am going to run a divorced SCX10 drivetrain, its actually a fairly wide body...could almost get away with class one on SCX10 stock axles.

Ok, so I dont want to go any further on the sides until I get some primer on it to see how im doing. I want to hold off on primer until I get a few other things sorted so I turned my attention to the front - it was a pain and very tedious but I think once I clean it up it will be worth it.

Found the guy you need for the badges Mthead here on RCC , I've got bead lock rings from him before and he does great work and for a fair price. Just post him a pic of what you want with the approximate dimensions and he should give you a quote.

I am not sure if the batteries and electronics are going to ride in the back or not but I figured I would prepare for it anyhow
