Default WAFFLE 5 Slot JK

I had this all in a previous thread but the build has changed direction so much I might as well start a fresh new one.

Building a 5 lot JK. Starting with a Ebay hard body JK.

Score the grill with a razor blade 1000 times, lol!

dremel, file, glue.

cut the hood off and in half

and rough cut out the rest of the body. Its only $100...LOL!!!

Got everything all narrowed, just needs some finish work.

The body for now

Welded most the holes on the scx chassis, I plan to just use the front of the rails, and have the back half all tube and tie into the cage, bumpers, ect, basically a full tuber with frame rails build around my hard body. truggy?

More to come soon!

So I got a smoking deal on these carter fab housings from a member on here, so I'm not going to use the curries for this project . when I initially got these they were passenger side drop, So I had to modify a new truss and drill and tap 2 holes for the panhard mount to roll these units driver side!

Now I can roll them either way, for a future yota or chev build.

Gripfab locker, I didn't clamp the axles all the way tight, but got rid of most all the play for a tight fit, but they still pull out.

Repainted the housing and such a duplicover semi-gloss black, turned out great in my paint booth.

Only the finest parts money can buy good sir

Built a HD trans from scratch

Some thunder... 3100kv

Going to run a few set of wheels and tires on this car
These of coarse are my all time favs, VP KMC, OMF rings, locked up hardware and hubs

TSS Chameleons locked up hubs and hardware

some hand paint'n

Following! Plenty of tinkering going on so far.

Scattered, covered, smothered, chunked! No waffle houses in San Diego.

Oh ya, I've been throwing different ideas around for a while, was a bronco then a fj40, but I'm finally settled for this jeep body I've chopped to many pieces. The direction still can go many routes. I'm really digging the hammers type rigs, and seems to be were I'm heading with the build, but it could very easily go into a trail style rig. either way its going to be low and mean.
