Default Kj's Jk8 "Sinister"

This is gonna be a slow build over the next few months, Work took away my Saturdays off so I won't be crawling for a little while. Figured I'd focus on the one build I really want and sell off other projects. This build is gonna to hopefully be my nicest one yet. I've got a bunch of the parts already and only need a few odds and ends to get running. I'm gonna have Twisted Metal Fab do the cage work on the body. Something simple and stock looking(in thinkin titanium to keep the weight low). Really looking forward to this build

Current parts

2 Dr jk with full interior(in gonna stretch it an inch or so to get the wheels wells closer to the wheelbase I'm gonna run, and also build a drop bed)

Scx10 frame

Creation fab Delrin splined tubes for the Xr10 mod

Vp Xr10 c-hubs

Vp Xr10 knuckles

Received my new motor from Holmes this week, revolver s 540. 2000kv is a little slow but I figured I'd give it a shot. Xr10/scx10 modded axles is installed. Now it's time to start cut up the body. Need to decide if I'm gonna run a roof or not.

Finally got a chance to sit down and do a little work this morning. Cut the body cut up so I can extend the wheelbase. Clearanced the floorboards a little for the split skid. Interior still covers everything

I'm going for the body style of the Orange jeep but with the stance of the light blue jeep

Worked on the floorboards a little more last night as well as sanding the door panels and center console. Recessed the dash so there is room for feet now. Started sanding it as well. Need to add some pedals and it it'll be ready for paint

Thanks man. The stock dash just didn't leave room for my driver's feet. Figured this would be a good way to make room.

More bodywork going down today. Bondo is drying so I figured I'd build my driveshafts. Mip's with gunnar pins and 6mm outputs

Got a little bodywork and sanding finished. Thinking it'll need 1 more time and it'll be good. Installed my front king shocks. Running 100mm up front and I have a set of 80mm on the way. Need to get it a little lower and it'll be good. Also ordered some jato rod ends to stretch the wheelbase to closer to 13".

Swapped outs some revo ends for some jato ends on the vp links. Wheelbase is set at 13.3. It's long and low just like I wanted. Plus thats perfect wheelbase to swap out with new bright jeeps down the road;). The 100mm/80mm setup looks perfect. Just need to find one of the spring kits and tune. It's a roller through.

Thanks man. It wouldn't have been possible without the ddk I got from ya. Can't wait to finish up the body work and get it painted.
