Default Mikos F350 Truggy

This is actually my dads rig. He purchased it from ebay and the only parts not to have been completely changed are the grill and 60% of the chassis rails.

I'd post a picture of "bumblebee" but you can imagine what nonsensical 1/3" tubing truggy with 2.2s and yellow throughout would look like.

After dreading to touch it it eventually ended on the operating table.

Building experimental prosthetics.

Next to an actual scale axle.

I robbed the SC411 out of my EXO for this build. It's a brushless sensored 550 system that is capable of easily destroying an average lipo.

Durability was top priority. Hence the axial gearsets and necessary center sections. The bearing caps specifically.

Yeah I ground the sh!t out of them. Deal with it fanboys

All the welding was done by ProJunk. I was just there for crazy ideas and beer consumption.

Fast forward some tube bending, beer drinking, ProJunk tolerating my belligerence, and some more welding.

I decided on a non tradition axial tranny mounting location. The chasis rail splits the motor and the bottom of the trans. The driveline isn't affected much in terms of angle. There's clearance for everything however.

The battery tray is flush with the bottom of the chassis rails and fits a 5K 2 cell easily.

Cab still sits pretty well. Just minor modification was required.

Here are some dimensions in case you're interested.

Front axle has been moved back since.

Forgot to snap a pic but fully extended the truck has a little less than 3 1/4" belly clearance.

Below It's fully compressed.

Here's the rear static.

Full lock Left.

Full Lock Right.

Steering setup.

Belly shot.

Grill mounts to the chassis. Body clips into screws sticking out of the light bucket mounts. this part is original from the build. Just slightly simplified.

Tires are filled with Deuces wild foams meant for Mad Beasts in case you were curious.

Rest for the pics are for your viewing pleasure.

Hope you guys enjoyed this quick build review. There will be regular updates of durability and beating the piss out of it on the rocks by a 5 year old in a 50 year olds body

good to know on the foams got mad beasts right now with those foams and was thinking about getting wild peaks. Build looks sweet. I like how the grill attaches to the chassis.

Foam in the tires feels great. I have it stretched over some harbor freight wheel weights making it a tight fit. With my experience these foams like to break in and soften up when exposed to elements. I'll see how these do with an airtight seal

I have read through both Tundra builds (love the second BTW) and now this build.

I have seen pics of you driving through more water than I have ever driven in in my RC life. Not sure if I am jealous or lucky lol
