Thank you!! I have been steering away from all the Gelande builds because they are pretty much the same. I love the fact that not only did you do something different, but it took major balls to cut up a brand new fairly expensive body. Also you did a great job on it.

I do have a small problem.

Tyres I was hoping to keep this 1.9 but I dont think I have any choice but to 2.2 it because of the size of the shell.
I have got some Axial Falken Wildpeaks 4.7'' coming but I fear they are going to be too short in height

Anyone have any shots of an Aoshima FJ rolling on 2.2 Rok Lox or something around the 140mm height?

Just spitballing here but what about the rc4wd Iroks? I got a set last week only to find they dwarf both my Hi-Lux and Clod bodies. May look right at home on that big ol' FJ?

Thanks for the thought but

Not going with 'iroks' not tall enough and they are too wide and to busy in there design.

Bit wide and the Bead is almost impossible to mount properly on any wheels other than Prolines Crappy offerings

So going to need something to put this on, well the original plan was to use an SCX10 chassis. I know I know but its my truck and thats what I wanted.

I did however come up with a problem, this shell is Mahoosive and it wasn't having it so i'm using the Gelande 2

Which leads me to another problem its umm a bit short not going to get back wheels in there

So lets cut this up no wait lets not, I cant weld Aluminium and dont know anyone locally who can so head scratching and a rumage in the parts boxes.
Thinking as its only going to have to support the Rear bed and Rear Bumper it doesn't have to be all heavyweight tough, just stiff enough so....
Axial Aloominium Links attached to the Bumper Mounting holes.

That'll work but not very Cosmetic??

Bit of styrene and some black paint later and that'll work and I can keep the Rear Bumper now with those fantastic rear lights.
Also gives me somewhere to mount the rear bed.

Whilst I was at it I added an SCX10 Trans and a Different transfer case up front. I know but like i said its my truck and I dont want or like the Rc4wd Drivetrain.

Bloody Camera pictures keep coming on grey
Floors Painted

Door Panels

Cab still need to Paint the Light Pink on the Roof

Clever solution to the frame.

There is another option though, if using an SCX frame, MadDog R/C frame rails are the same profile as SCX rails and are perfect for lengthening them.

Another option would be the new D110 frame (331mm wheelbase), but looks like you're good with what you have. Great build so far. Can't wait to see more.

I did look at that but didn't want to wait 2 weeks for it to get to the UK

I'm confused. How much of the body did you chop off? Doesn't look like chassis was long enough for the stock body. Looks like you might have to move the shock towers back as well? What will Dready do? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK!

I chopped about 2'' out of it but I need to lengthen it to make room for the seperate bed.

Got the top painted at last should contrast well with whats underneath that newspaper
