Tonight I started in on the rear shock positioning and welded in the starting bar just to see how the chassis will sit with the 110 kings out back. Rig is looking more and more like an ultra 4 rig . What I did notice is that the rear shocks carry a lot of the rigs weight because the front shocks are mount farther forward on the axle and chassis . I will have to test this out soon here is a few more pics

Cut out a servo mount and spot welded it in . I tapped the 4 holes to make it easier to mount It. Here are a couple pics

Awesome work! Maybe some stiffer springs would help support the rear shocks. If needed that is.

last couple days I haven't worked much on this project. Got a piece of metal in the eye from the bench grinder under my safety glasses so I'm one eye ballin the work now lol. Built front shock hoop braces and started on the rear lower section on the back and built the mount to hold the sway .

This is where it started from

Put The bottom tubes in for the back and tied them into the sway bar Mount. Looks like I have no room For batteries unless i sacrifice part of scale interior and that would be floor depth . Here's some pics

You almost have room for a firewall mount. Have you seen the venom 2100mah 3s flight packs? They're super cheap and the smallest 2100mah pack I've seen.

Amazon.com: Venom 20C 3S 2100mAh 11.1 LiPO Battery with HXT 3.5mm Plug: Toys & Games
Those batteries that are in the pic are 3s 2250mah 45c and measure out at 25mmx32mmx106mm and that is the only place they will fit . I could flip the spur to the front But would need to trim the hood and put a hood scoop to cover it up .That maybe an option I will have to do . I do like the idea of running 2 packs on the chassis to weight it down low .

Thanks for the comments gentlemen

So today was able to get A little battery tray made up from 1/8 Rod it sits above the motor and extends into the cab. I will be adding some 3mm nuts to all the interior areas for the styrene panels and areas to mount the seats To.

Started hitting the welds with a file Getting close to making an interior

Finished the nuts for the interior and started on making the floor pans and made a little seat rack That bolts into the floor pan looks pretty good

This first one is the for the back where the ess-one will go with the speaker pointing down . I will cover the ess-one with a styrene fuel cell and tool box for camping and such .

Finished the rear axle up and assembled and ready for abuse. Bolted the axles in and loaded the chassis up . There are a few bars to go in. Still not sure if I am going to do any tubes across the open door area yet . I kind of like the open doors . Any comments on the door area would be appreciated.

Tell me your thoughts .
