I didn't think a rav4 could possibly be cool. Thanks for proving me wrong. You have a local guy that makes U-jointed shafts? Any more info? Talk us through the install. What are the shims and O-ring for? |

Installation is pretty easy, you get rid of the outer bearing in the axle, that is where the Oring goes and you use the shims to set the center of u-joint into the center of c-hub/knuckle rotation. This way the axle stays sealed but the shaft has room to move in case of ujoint binding, so nothing gets damaged. But you would have to be really creative to make the shaft binding.
